Jakarta is a big city and unless you are well traveled it may be overbearing.
Having been there many times I can tell you from experience that it is well
worth the few dollars to go with the guide service offered in the classifieds.
Then after the education and tips given, head out on your own. I only wish I
had known about the guide service before I went to JKT.

You lucky sod.
Depending on what you are looking for, here are a couple of tactics:
For unashamed unattached non stop banging till you drop:
- Stay at Mercure Resko rather than Hotel Travel - bit dearer, still cheap, much nicer, free internet, walking distance from Stadium, Bluebirds right out the front 24/7;
- Walk down to TCs (still worth checking out), Sierra, Bintang Mawar, and of course - Hotel Travel. You're young enough to cover the distance;
- Finish the night at Stadium, the one stop shop for, well anything..
- Walk back to sleep (maybe!)
And you still can follow this tactic for a more social experience:
- Stay at Atlet Century Park (more expensive though);
- Walk down to X2 in Plaza Senyan or Red Square, with your ages and looks a freebie (or close to it) with a pretty hot girl is certainly a possibility;
- Wander through Plaza Senayan or Senayan City. PS has been a successful hunting spot before for me;
- You are ten minutes from CJs, BATs, Blok M, and a bit longer to Mistere at Ritz Carlton for more possibilities.
And the following works for both (but better in conjunction with tactic two):
- Hit Facebook, Yahoo Messenger, Tagged and DateInAsia (in that order) looking for Indonesians to meet when you are there. Facebook is in front for me at the moment..
- If you have a BlackBerry, make sure it is unlocked. Buy a Telkomsel Simpati SIM, load it with 200,000 ASAP, SMS 333 with 'Reg BB' and then 'BB On' and fire up YM and Facebook (and BB messenger). Update your status as to where you are regularly (assuming you don't have any stalkers yet). With luck, your thumbs will stop feeling sore about a month after you get home. The same with a few other body parts;
- Google translator and Google maps (with GPS) on the phone are also highly useful! Especially when locating places for the first time.
- The above should work for other phones if you can get a data pack, but I haven't tried it, and everyone is on BlackBerry in Indonesia anyway;
- Ask everyone for their phone number, and keep sms'ing them.
Like I said, you lucky sod. I'm luckier though, I visit before you!

Just back from a week in Jakarta
Just came back from a week in Jakarta for business, but managed to fit in a bit of fun too.
Hit CJ's a couple of nights at the open and hung around for a while to see what was wandering in. The early pickings are pretty hard core, but at around 10:30 some more suitable partners make the scene.
The bar itself is pretty expensive, so if you are paying your own way you probably want to go for the bottle or nurse the drinks. Great band as usual, so the time is well spent.
Found one 25 year old girl who was well worth the 600k we settled on and I added 100 more to make it 700.
One afternoon when my meetings were done early, I made the tough taxi trip to Travel Hotel. A lot more choice than I was expecting, and took a 21 year old cutie to a VIP room (325, they said was the afternoon rate?) and had a good hour with her.
Downstairs, I saw a Chinese style 21 year old and took her upstairs to a regular room for two sessions (2 X 300) plus 100 tip.
After three rounds, I was pretty spent so I walked down the main road to the McDonalds to fill the hole. If you go in two blocks from the main road to the McD's, you are at the back of Lokasari Plaza. After feeling refreshed, I thought that I would hit TC for just a look.
Up the escalator inside the mall doors, and just in front is the door to Total Country. 30,000 Rupiah entry gets you one drink in a loud, smoky, typically Indonesian bar. A couple of girls in go go outfits hanging on the poles, and what looks like a mix of freelancers and strings of managed girls. One mamasan brought over a girl to sit beside me who was a step down from what I had just finished with at Travel Hotel. No problem for me though, as I was finished for the night. The lack of communication sent her away, and the mamasan told me 300,000 for girl and room and I said that I was just looking.
She brought over another girl and this one was cute and young - not much English but when she leaned her slim hips into me and looked into my eyes, I was weak. She asked about my hotel, but I could not see myself walking through the lobby with this little thing in tow, so I opted for the on site room. Not much of a room and lots of noise, but this cute little thing made the distractions go away. 300 to the mama (before) and the girl wanted 200 and I gave it to her. I was thinking of going from there to the hospital for dick repairs, but instead went back to the hotel, fully toasted.
An afternoon of sequential sex is a lovely way to spend the day in Jakarta
Area Hotel Travel: I look for info
Hi, I'd like to know if the area where is Hotel Travel is a good area for picking up girls .... of course besides the Hotel Travel. In that area is there some hotels for sleeping in the night?
