It was more of a foreign exchange program where one side paid to go and the other side couldn't afford it. When she won it they automatically stamped her for a 10 year visa. They have a lot of apartments especially around Poblado. There's also Poblado Rentals, but I wouldn't recommend them. Too many people have horror stories about dealing with the owner. I know a webcam model with a tourist Visa to the US. Pretty sure she owns her penthouse apartment. Know another webcam model who has been living in the US for several years. I knew a girl Medellín for a couple of years, met her a few times. Her WhatsApp went unresponsive after the covid shutdown. As far as I know she is not on Facebook or other social media. They are dressed more like army personel than police men. And they usually have a bright reflective "policia" vest so they really stand out.
