Hello, Guys (are there any females?),
Do any of the clubs in AC or Cebu let you pay a barfine with a travelers check? Do any of the Pros or Part Timers take them?
When you want to take a girl back to your room, from the mall, barfine, sidewalk, etc..... Is it harder to get a girl back to a discount hotel, and is it usually easier if you ask them back to a 4 or 5 star hotel?

I have read your useless dribble for the past week about only wanting to litterally "rent" a wife for 7 years just so you can be happy, now you ask if you can pay a barfine or a girl off the street with a travellers check??

Most of the bar-fines are Chinese, or Filipina and Saipan is just East of Manila. Also... I never said that I wanted to rent a wife for seven years, or any amount of time. The semi pros will typically assume that the guys staying at 4/5 star places will be richer and thus more likely to pay up than the cheap charlies staying at a pension. Most of the better looking/more popular girls are not going to be keen to stay with a guy at a 600P pension as they rightly figure that such a guy will be unlikely to hand over 1000-1500P to them in the morning. Of course there are plenty of lower end girls for whom a 600P pension is a palace.
Aside the prospects for a rich and stupid guy, I find most girls prefer to hang out at mid level 1500-2500P hotels because these are generally more tolerant and friendly to girls coming and going (I have 6 or 7 girls regularly coming and going so there are almost always 2 or 3 girls in my room which would probably not be possible if I were staying at a place with a sniffy attitude to more than one joiner such as the Marriot. One of my girls stayed at the marriott recently and really didnt like it because though very comfortable she had to pay 10x the normal amount for a sanitary napkin when her period started. of course if she has a guy who wil pay for everything that's not a big concern. But unfortunately she was with a guy who figured that it was OK to buy some 5x overpriced clothes for her friend in Ayala whilst not offer her a single peso even for taxi money.

I suspect that some of the bars will change TT at rip off rates.
The idea that the girls will take them is pretty ridiculous. Let's take a reality check here. Maybe 80% of the freelancers/part timers don 't have bank accounts. Why is that? Well to open a bank account (except in the Land Bank I believe) there will be minimum deposits or 500-5000P, many have a policy of a monthly charge if you have a low balance and no regular incoming money. Most of the girls you will be dealing with will have less than 1000P of cash assets at any particular time. Besides this, banks will require 2 forms of ID and for many girls even this is a step too far. many of thenon college girls will not have any valid ID at all - because it generally takes a few hundred pesos and plenty of queueing to get some.

Actually I think what HM said was that he was previously married to a Filipina for 7 years and if a second marriage "only" lasted 7 years this was a good outcome for him.
IMHO this isn't stupid at all, but rather sensible. I think it is the guys that anticipate that they will marry a girl "till death do us part" that are the fools (unless they are close to their closing time).

I'm ok with the "courtship" part (can even sing and play some haranas on guitar ;) but the thought of the inlaws (father, brother, nephew, cousin, etc) dropping in unannounced whenever they feel like it (or need some money) is going to be discouraged unless I specifically ask them to.

I didnt think this article was that great. Certainly you need to be aware that you are signing up to the a relationship with the whole family. A very large poor family could prove a real financial drain.
My observation of these things is that Western guys seem either to significantly underestimate their own desirability and thus the quality of girl they are looking for or significantly overestimate it, assuming that they can find and (more problematically that she will agree to the match) their fantasy dream girl.
Guys who have done limited research on their first trip to the Phils tend to fall into the former category. A girl who may seem a real beauty in the context of the options available at home, is regarded as very mediocre by those of us who have been in the Phils a while. On the other hand if you spend too long on the dating sites being bombarded by apparent interest or come to the Phils many times and have many partners you start to believe you can find the perfect fantasy girl. The problem is that guys will start to imagine a 1 in a million girl and forget that such girls have other options and settling down in a small house in Bohol to look after a 60 year old western guy with various medical conditions may not be top of their agenda, unless they see you as a temporary stepping stone to financial security/ passport.

Even if you live in Mars, the family will find a way to 'surprise' you.
Example: a bar girl, working as a Singer in Singapore (Legally) earning less than 500 US a month, and her younger sister is in Hong Kong for about the same salary. And another in Taiwan for same pay.
Now When the eldest sister's birthday came, she was pleasantly surprised, when her whole family turned up (I am sure the flight ticket for the gang would have been more than 2, 000 US).
The main thing is "SURPRISE" PARTY. And the mother and cousin had brought cooked food all the way from Philippines.
Now if that can happen to some place a few thousand miles away. How far are you going to run to hide?
And I got to agree with Greg. The info there is just a drop in the ocean.
My experience with filipinas. Each one has been unique. So much so each experience would warrant a trade mark.
If you decide to 'curtail' her. It will only be a matter of time before she finds new 'ate' 'kuya' and 'tita'. And they will be a new family. (I am referring to the neighbours in your new hideout.)
Alternate. Marry a rich and well to do filipina or one who is well exposed and from a good upbringing and will frown upon such silly stuff as 'emergencies' and what not. And they don't exist in bars.
Maybe you can find them in Churches?
I understand your skepticism (cynicism/realism?), Greg, and I remain an optimist on a misssion. I don't do the dating sites (at least not with Pinays) --prefer to go in person. I'm not wealthy (by American standards but I do ok) so certainly cannot afford to be instant provider to a bunch of lazy moochers! Yet, I figure if she has at least some schooling at the college level perhaps her family is not dirt poor. I can be generous but refuse to be stupid!

Well I finally got back to Dubai after my holiday which had a couple of days in Cebu sandwiched either side for me to enjoy some R&R.
Not much extra to report apart from the fact that there were a very large number of older guys in Ayala mall this time round. Fortunately I'd prearranged to BF the same waitress from Vikings as before and we spent the weekend together which was really quite nice. This was as GFE as I would like to get, we lay around watching TV hugging, ate out together, went bowling and dancing. In fact all the things to make up for lack of intelligent conversation about world affairs!
I completely agree with what others have said here about marrying a Fili. This girl was stunning, great in bed, wonderful to just hold, but I would need someone to have an intelligent dialogue about shit to supplement this.
I also checked out the new go go bar off Mango. It was quite busy, has a nice bar but the furniture looks like old christmas wrapping paper....its horrible. They have recycled some of the bar staff and girls from the other Vikings bars.
I also checked out SUnflower on the weekend and this was a great place to take a girl, much better than Juliana's.
All in all I am glad I visited Cebu, I was hit on by two shop assistants and next time I will spend more time here to try and life a normal existance.
