To restate the obvious, you can buy a BRAND NEW simple Motorola or Samsung at Fortress for < HK$150. That's less than US$20 for a brand new phone.
I will be in HK for only two days. I am looking for an inexpensive hotel, probably in Kowloon where I can take a lady for a couple of hours or the evening. Any ideas?

Mong Kok has a heap of short stay hotels, are you staying in a "regular" hotel though? all HK hotels are GF... no problem. The MK places can be seen from the street just by walking around, sign out front.

Just about all hotels in Hong Kong ARE Girl Friendly - except the Bishop Lei International House hotel on Robinson's rd (actually quite attractive rates/value - but 100% NOT GF!!), and the Wesley Hotel on Hennessy rd - which although is owned by a private company (Hang Lung) is nonetheless built on a former church and is now cheek to jowl with the church! Have had some friends of mine hassled in the past - D/K if still so - as a non-GF hotel is just so out of place in Hong Kong!!

Sometimes the convenience stores like 7-Eleven sell prepaid SIM Cards packaged with cheap low end phones for around HK$250.
I wouldn't waste my time or MTR fare going to Shamshuipo as you can bargin with the chain stores now, which is probably due to the influx of mainland tourists. I recently bought a camera at fortress and said that there was a cheaper price on the web and they matched the price straight away.

Bro, seriously, walk into ANY Fortress store. Look on the counter and they will have CHEAP (HK$100 - $150) unlocked phones, no contract required. Motorola, Samsung, LG, the model changes from time to time. This is your best option... I PROMISE!

Some time since I last reported.
Have had some interesting activities around Beijing and Ningbo, but HK always seems the best.
A few weeks ago booked Annie 141 girl TST Hotel visit. Usual Overnight rate is Hourly rate x 3. 600 = 1800 700 = 2100 etc.
The Papasan usually tries to get an extra 100 out of you for taxis, resist and they won't push the point.
Arrived 11pm (negotiated down from 12:00) friendly not quite GFE but good BBBJ CIM followed by small talk, backrub and round 2, which lasted a good long time, all positions, until popped. Slept until 7 am and nothing beats the morning romp.
Now some guys will say, you could have had the same 2 pops
For 1 hour rate without the breakfast in bed. True, but the unpressured knowledge of LT is worth bucks.
In the last few days a few 500 HKD girls have been on the TST hotel listing but now have disappeared. Some look fit.
I am returning to HK tomorrow and will try to get a YS walkup girl to leave LT with me. HAs anyone tried this?

HK work is generally much better than BKK. Prices in HK for tailoring are higher, and much higher than they were 10 years ago, due to the drop in value of the USD, to which the HKD is pegged. Almost all the material used by HK tailors comes from Italy, some from France, and a bit from the UK. As exchange rates have become unfavorable, it has driven costs up.
Sam's in Tsimshatsui is an old, reliable, and widely advertised place. They routinely have package deals, one suit, one jacket, two shirts, etc. The 'suit in 24 hrs' places are no better than Bangkok, but there is a popular one on 1/F of World Wide Plaza in Central (the Filipina shopping center, you can look for a date at the same time.) Union Tailor on Middle Road, TST, pricier but fine work. Places that look a bit grungy are not necessarily bad. Except for the cutting, all of the work is done in even dingier sweatshops that you wouldn't want to see.

It's a bit of a long shot and was wondering if anyone could help. I recently returned from HK and have posted all my information in the forum. You can find it in the reports of distinction where one of the moderators must have moved it.
Anyway, whilst there I met with a couple of fili's from Amazonia by the names of Monica and Oded. I saw them together. I was wondering if anyone has come across them and if so, would they be able to get me a number which I seem to have misplaced. I know they will still be in HK as they had only just renewed their visas, although they may be leaving in about 1 week
An alternative would be to let me have a telephone number for amazonia in wanchai. I have tried their website, but it seems to be an old number. Perhaps if someone is in there, they could ask around some of the girls or the bar manager for a number.

Shouldn't the suits be cheaper with the drop in the Euro?
Anyways, Sam's is OK for suits but the tailor he uses for shirts is crap. What you get froim there is the the snob value of saying you got your suits made where all the celebs go to. I don't think his quality is any better or worse than any other local tailor as he does not do the work himself but just measures you up and gives it to someone else to do the real work.
I hate to bring this conversation back to the hobby, but can someone help me with a no non-sense information regarding where to find Russians, Mongolians, etc. I remember reading some on the forum, but can someone provide an inclusive list? I want to try that this weekend. Also, can you include the going price for LT and ST for these exotics. Also, in terms of quality, what am I looking at with these women?

The fabric used today was ordered last year, it would take a long period of devaluation of the euro or the pound to have any effect here.
I have never used Sam's, just mention it as it's something of a local landmark. All tailors in HK outsource the work, Sam is just part of the system.

BJK[/QUOTE]I would agree that it would be simpler to buy a cheap second phone. If you take the MTR to Sham Shui Po, look for Apliu Street, there are probably 100 shops selling second hand phones. I have bought there before, cheap and no problems so far. They can probably unlock too. It is only about 15 minutes by MTR. There is also great electronics shopping nearby in the Golden Centre and lots of cheap 141 nearby to make all the exploration worth it.
On HK side, you can probably find an unlocker in the computer shopping center at 298 Hennessey Road, a short walk from the bars in Wanchai. Also in HK there is a shop that specializes unlocking located on Canal Road by Hennessey Road (next to the elevated highway) side closest to Causeway Bay.
