As far as Mayorista, IMHO there is more of a police and milatary presense there than anywhere in MDE. I hate to promote Mayorista as I have been called a shill for that area when truth be told I wish I was the only Gringo who went there.

First of I'd like to say that I had no problems at all with the ATMs in the Laureles area. I was only limited by my banks maximum per day. I would take the maximum out two times a trip(300 mil) to the atm.

Vic it was a pleasure to party with you in Mayorista and there were many chicas availiable. There was something for every taste and there definitely was a police presence that made it toally safe. We partied to 3 in the morning outside the bars. That blonde Vic could certainly drink and was muy bonita. I'm heading back in May and definitely will bw checking out Mayorista again.

Most casas are pick them and bang them. I think Miel y Canela you can sit and talk to them for a bit, but last time I was there, the quality wasn't too great. If you want to mingle with them, you should hit the stripclubs.

Nope. I think the best you're going to get is a place called La Manzana. Supposedly, the stripclub girls go there to hang out and make some extra cash but it doesn't get busy until 2. It also sounds a bit sketchy. I'll check it out on my next trip.

All clubs are a mix. You won't find any clubs where the prepagos are hustling though. Most prepagos are there as a group of girls, but it's hard to tell if they are prepago or just regular girls. The obvious prepagos are either with their mafioso boyfriends or gringos. It is not a good idea to poach on those! However, Colombian girls are VERY approachable. They're not as stuck up as American girls. If you just ask, most will drink and dance with you. And might even leave with you, just don't expect any guarantees.

La Mayorista and there are a couple of others. Check the list. It's not really my scene. There is a stronger police presence there for obvious reasons. It's not too dangerous. Meaning if you don't try to stick out. Odds are you won't get mugged.

Have a blast! If you haven't booked accommodations yet, I suggest staying a couple of days at a gringo hotel. At the very least, hire an english speaking driver from the list. This way you'll touch down running.

I hope the following information is useful:

All moneys (otherwise noted) are quoted in Colombian pesos (cop).

Arriving in Medellin at Rio Negro airport will allow you to choose a taxi to take into town or you can prearrange an airport pickup. If you take a taxi, I recommend the White taxis because they are newer and roomier vehicles and have air conditioning. When arriving in the day time I use the taxis and this is fine. The preset rate is $50, 000cop to El Poblado area. When arriving at night I prefer a prearranged airport pick up.

ATM's are available at the airport but you will need to go to the departure area once exiting the airport after going through customs. I recommend ATM'S over exchanging cash. Going to a Casa de Cambio (money exchange) will require you to have your passport with you and fill out a form and get fingerprinted. However I understand you do not have to do this for traveler's cheques. Also I only know of the Cambio at the Comercial Central Oviedo (which is 2 blocks from the Mansion). ATM's are located almost at every bank and many free standing locations throughout the city. The Major Banks are Banco Colombia (giving up to $400, 000 cop per transaction and Citibank (giving up to $700, 000 cop per transaction). Most US banks allow up to $500 withdrawal on a card per day. However I believe Citibank allows up to $1, 000, 000 if you are using an Citbank card at their ATM.

You have many options as to where to stay Medellin. However, if you are new to Medellin I recommend the Mansion/Castillo which are now Casa Blanca 1 & 2 but only by business name. The same owners and management are in place. They also have their own drivers that will await you at the airport if you want an airport pick up for $60, 000cop.

Staying at either the Mansion or the Castillo will offer two different types of atmospheres. The Castill0o is definitely less traffic and quieter but the Mansion has a regular flow of girls during the day and into the evening.

The Mansion is almost at the base of a hill (Lomo de Alejandria) and the Castillo is 3 (short) blocks further uphill. Good cardio workout but sucks if you are leaving the Mansion with a girl and after tossing back a few. You can just take a taxi for $3, 000 pesos (the minimum) which is just $1. 50 USD.

The Mansion is on a busy street and can be a bit noisy. The frat house reputation is not really warranted these days. It's pretty calm. However you are more likely to be awakened by the garbage collector truck or a load motor bike than fellow guest banging.

The Castillo is much more tranquil. However, in general the Castillo does not have girls invited to hang out. That is why many of the Castillo guests pop in to the Mansion to see what talent is available. Boyd and Marcy's main base of business is at the Castillo though and at anytime either can call a few girls to come up to the Castillo for you.

Aside from the mansion and the Castillo there are no places in Poblado for P4P girls. Casa Loutron used to be in El Poblado but they moved so in Poblado there are no casas.

The Mansion/Castillo will give you a map of El Centro upon request from Marcy, Boyd or Robert if you would like to go it alone. The map is really easy to use and actually you will find El Centro quite easy to navigate. I know because I am the worst when it comes to remembering directions and even though I've pounded the streets for years I too still carry a copy of the map and/or the business cards from the casas.

El Centro is ground zero for the cheap casas. The best I'd say is New Life because of the large number of girls at anytime. The only thing about New Life is that the girls come out in street clothes. Most if not all the others, the girls come out in sexy lingerie.

Casas in El Centro open from about 10: 30 am to 7pm Mon to Friday. On Saturday from 10: 30 am to 6pm.

New Life, Belle Suite and Sexi's are the only ones open on Sunday from 10: 30 am to 5pm.

There are no true Freelance Disco's for P4P girls. However at the El centro strip Clubs I mentioned Barra Ejecetivo and Las America's, many girls are there and independent.

Parque Lleras is great for people/girl watching and eating. There are no casas in the Parque Lleras area.

There are many bars and clubs in the Parque Lleras area to see non pro girls. You have to check out the scene on Friday and Saturday after 9pm on. It really is an incredible sight to see so many HOT Paisas in one place.

Also, Mango's Night Club is packed with non-pros. Go there after 11pm.

There are Casas outside of El Centro (you will need a taxi to get to each). The best Casas are Abydos, Blue Room, Energy and Loutron. These are all related to one another and all have the girls come out in white "nurse type" short smocks that they take off to show you their body's clad only in sexy underwear/lingerie. Abydos, Blue Room and Energy rates are about $90, 00 for an hour. The most expensive of the casas is Loutron which is about $160, 000 for an hour. Most men feel Loutron is the best in show and looks wise for girls but often the girls give mechanical sexual performance.

The night time action switches to the strip joints.

The best 3 El Centro strip joints are Barra Ejecetivo, Las America's (these are just 2 doors away from each other) and Gata's (around the block from the two). Average price is $45, 000 1/2 hour to $65, 000 hour.

Moving up a notch is San Diego Strip Show. The girls are hotter. More expensive than El Centro though. For 1/2 hour the rage is $100, 00 to $120, 000 (you negotiate directly with the girl).

Many men feel the best looking strippers are at Fase Dos Strip Show. I have to agree that this is true but just as with the case of casa Loutron, the performance is often very mechanical. The rates are a standard $150, 00 for 50 minutes. The rooms are very comfortable however.

All the strip joints offer take out. Check with the local management or ask Robert/Boyd etc. What the current bar fine is. I seldom take out so I don't keep up with the bar fines.

Finally, for street action there is Calle 53 in El Centro which I no longer recommend even in the day. The talent has gone way down in the last year and if you just want to check out the seen you can but really not worth more than that. **Only go BEFORE dusk, it can be dangerous at night**.

Then there is Mayorista which is my favorite late night street action hang out. It's not very big, basically just one long block of bars/clubs restaurants and hotels. I suggest after 11pm and hang out a while because girls just come and go and sometimes pop out of the clubs or hotels. Many gems are to be found here if patient. Most girls prefer short time $25, 000 to $30, 000 for 1/2 hour and you pay the room ($11, 000).

You can always negotiate taking a girl back to the Mansion or Castillo from ANY of the above mentioned places, however, no matter where the girl is coming from, make sure she has an ID (called a cedula) for proof of age or they will not be allowed entry.

That's it in general.

I was just giving safety advice to the people on this board. How could I be trying to stir people to La Mayorista when I was defending Eros which is in El Centro. So drop the cliches Latin Bound, I don´t need anymore people in La Mayorista, I have a hard time scheduling as it is because I get so many requests. I have my regular guests who would love to keep La Mayorista to themselves and never see another gringo there. Why do you think I barely post anymore and stopped my weekly reports.

I don´t need anymore people, and certainly don´t need or want to stir anymore gringos to La Mayorista. But I can´t help but to comment on something that strikes my eye since I have lived there for 5 years and have been just about everywhere in Medellin, and hence have gathered lots of experience.

I didn´t mind anything you said, you have the right to explain your actions. But you can avoid the cheap shots about me wanting to stir people to La Mayorista. I want as few gringos there as possible. My regular guests want to keep it that way also, that´s why they hardly ever post. I used to advertise, but I don´t need to anymore. So I wouldn´t even care what anybody says about Colombia or La Mayorista anymore, but my obcesssive compulsiveness towards accuracy makes me respond even when I would rather keep Colombia to myself and my guests. We definitely don´t need any more foreigners and gringos ruining our Medellin Paradise.

Last. Colombians are very easy going, but if you give them a reason to justify aggression you are up shit's creek. When they do is ussually "agua panela", an expression which means 2 or more on one. A very common expression. So for now guys, I would stay away from Eros, thanks to Mr. Latin Bound. I have traveled most of Latin America without an incident. I have been going to Medellin for years now. During 2009 alone I went there four times. Did I mention I have business associates there and planning on relocating? What makes you believe I am ignorant about what goes on in Medellin? BTW, I've been to Eros myself before. Nothing like this has happened previously. Just for your information, I went to El Raudal next day and had a conversation with a couple of the walkers I have talked to previously and discussed the situation with them. NOT ONE had an issue with it. As a matter of fact one of them even stated that she was going to talk to the administration there. If that happened or not, that is far fetched. So Frank, don't drop this one on me just because you want to steer people to Mayorista.

I did not use any force that was not called for. I talked and explained calmly. The only thing I didn't do, that in retrospect could have eased the situation was to offer a couple of thousand pesos to the guard and probably that woudl have end that. However, by the time I saw them lock the gate that was when all bets were off. It was obvious they were not ready to listen to any reason whatsoever.

I'll said Loutron cause I rather have quality than quantity is not as much I can get but the quality of girls I get laid with. The timing is also a factor when I arrived to Medellin is usually for a couple of days so I don't have the time to be travelling from el centro to Poblado or Sabaneta.
