I am visiting to Phuket for the first time in September. I am Staying in Phuket for 7 days in a girl guest friendly hotel near Bangla Road. Over the last 4 years, I've been to Pattaya once and patong 5 times. 6th time coming up in mid Sep.
Didn't rate pattaya at all. That's for another time.
You will not get Western Women or Russians on any kind of short or long term basis. Do not go to Moulin Rouge, the Russian stripper club. It is a complete and utter ripoff / scam.
The only white or Russians you are getting are holidayers in a nightclub or on tinder.
Best nightclub, illusion easily. You are going to need big time game to pick up what you are after. Just stick to the Thais in bars or Thai freelancers on the street in the clubs.
As a side note, Patong holds a special place in my heart as it's the first location I was exposed to being a monger.
In saying that, appears crowds are down in both high and low season. Sure less crowds sounds great, but that means Thais have also returned to Isaan, so less bar girls working as well.
The BHT parity to AUD does not help much either. Compared to Mar 18, its a 25%;cost increase to me on exchange rate. If I don't enjoy this trip, I'll start switching to BKK or Vietnam.

There is still plenty of bars but really empty during high and low season if you explore inwards. To my own disliking it also has become some kind of loudness competition between some places sound systems which reminds me of southern Europe.

I was looking for a little extra curricular fun and couldn't face a full on Patong experience. Was driving towards Kamala and thought I would take a spin through Bang Tao village past Catch night club and down to Surin on the way.

Felt like the crowded factor and prices sent me back to Pats and Bangkok vs repeating. Seems as if the prices are Bangkok levels where I like the ease and huge variety. What's your take on this?
