The question is: why discuss it further? Do you ask a car dealer who is trying to sell you an overpriced lemon to step out and discuss it further? Do you calmly ask your local grocer to step out so you can both discuss the price of some out-of-season fruit he's selling at a higher price than you're used to pay for, just because you've spent thousands of dollars in his store?
I mean, we all know Colombia has its thugs and all, and that the casa-P4P-escort-whateveryoucallit scene is generally located in the outskirts / underground of your everyday, decent, clean life. This just means you have to be extra careful and play with what I would call an exceptional set of rules. When the owner of a joint asks you to leave if you're not happy with his pricing strategy, well, you should just leave. I wouldn't want to imagine what could have happened to you, had you done the same in St. Petersburg or Moscow, for example.
All the money you spent was hopefully enjoyed - and let me tell you: there are no refunds, happy meals or sales and discounts in this hobby! On the other hand, Colombians themselves say that "when God closes a door, he opens a window". I'm really glad to read that you are now aware of the fact that there are hundreds of alternatives in Medellin, and that it is therefore not very wise or even healthy to depend on a single place. Lesson learned!
As calm as your words might have been, challenging a pimp was just not smart. Not in any sense or possible way. So, just get over it, and be glad you didn't get hurt.
Better luck in the future,
D.T.
Spot on,
I couldn't have said it better myself.
