Another thing I want to mention about Berlin is that its great how close all the clubs are with public transport. When I visit Dusseldorf most of the clubs are way out in the countryside and take time to get to, even with a car, and worse by public transport.

i am planning to be in europe next month and thinking about going for a few days to berlin to have fun. i have never been anywhere to monger so this would be my 1st and i have some questions in this regard to make it hassle free and fun obviously.

after reading some of the thread, i imagine the bordellos worth visiting are prestige, royal, vk, tiffany, liberty, odette, monrouge, (kd) and artemis and i believe they are rep001tered around berlin. my question is are they in safe neighborhoods because i am travelling alone and also can you easily get a cab outside these bordellos to get back to your hotel?

heard hookers on oranienburger strasse and kurfurstenstrasse are usually hot but total rip-offs. any chance you can get good service from them or should you avoid them no matter what. again is it safe to go to any of those two streets alone at night?

alex[/quote]re: berlin safety-berlin is a pretty safe city. most of the bordellos you mention are closed by 22:00 anyway and in neighbourhoods where there is a fair bit of activity in the evening. the one exception being artemis which is open late but still in a safe spot despite what norjan may feel about the gypsy "threat". in any case there is a always a long line of taxis waiting outside artemis.

They say it's in a safe area but it's not. It's in a rough area. Criminals are lurking around the corners and even in the S-bahn, in the wagons and on the platforms just waiting for someone like you. A tourist loaded with cash, not really knowing where he is.

Expert word of advice: Take a a cab both going to Artemis and when going back to your hotel. It's easy getting a cab in central Berlin and also outside Artemis where they'll be waiting in line. The only problem is that when going to Artemis, the driver knows that your pockets are full of cash, think of that when choosing your cab.

On a slow connection with proxy so this will be short. Went to Klix 37, saw Mona, for 1. 5 hrs, had a great time. She is one of the few Germans working there.
