San Pedro vs Antiguo Barrio?
Anyone have any preference for what neighborhood to stay in while visiting Monterrey? I have read both San Pedro and Antiguo Barrio are both good for nightlife. Planning a trip for late June. Would be nice to find a strip club with some decent talent that doesn't break the bank. Even a few bars which are known to cater to foreigners would be cool,"if they exist".
Been on SA for a few days now and no luck.
I always stay in San Pedro. I am not sure about the bars, no time to busy with the SA girls.
I will keep mining until I find something. SA was shooting fish in a barrel for Mexico City and Cancun.
Prestige gentleman's club
Hello,
Can anyone tell me what the prices I am looking at in Prestige gentleman's club. I normally do my strip club visits in Tijuana but I think I will give Prestige a shot and I don't want I am trying to avoid any surprises.
4 Days in Monterrey so Far
The drive in through the mountains from Laredo is spectacular. The views are amazing, if that's your thing. If your just there to fuck, then no biggie. Getting a permit to drive in Mexico took less than an hour and the people working the Mexican DMV or whatever were super cool to deal with. Crossing the border was much easier than I thought. I almost ran out of gas between Nuevo Laredo and Monterrey. Its a long highway and there are no gas stations in between. Make sure you have 120 miles worth of gas when you leave Nuevo Laredo. My airbnb has stunning views of the mountains and a huge balcony, and is located right outside antiguo barrio. I banged two mileroticos girls, one was a skank, the other a stunner from Colombia. I got a seeking girl to go on a date with me. Within 10 minutes of arriving at my airbnb she was sucking my dick. This girl was sweet and decent looking, but obviously a desperate pro. She was still fun to chill with and we drank at Iguana Cafe all night and chilled the whole day after. She never asked me for a dime, but I gave her 4000 pesos when she left because I could sense she was going to ask me and didn't want to. Sweet girl. Just hit up Matelhuala strip club tonight. Place was packed with dudes. The girls are in the 5-7 range, some cuties, but I would not get the chance with them because the guys were scooping them up quick. 4 drinks at Matuhelalas ran me 280 pesos plus tip, its cheap. Kinda slightly grimy, but not too bag at all. I left and told the cab driver to take me to a good strip joint, he takes me to prestige. Prestige is a very nice joint, you walk over like a little bridge-water fall thing to the joint, rear parking, place was cool. The girls are in the 8-9 rrange as well and it had very few guys for a Saturday night. Girl drinks are 600 pesos, but its a pitcher they pour from so it lasts awhile. To actually fuck was only 3000 pesos. The girl I got was very sexy, but short, but gave great GFE. When leaving I go to pay the bill and its 4800 pesos for 5-6 drinks, two girl drinks, and a pack of smokes. You have to pay the 3000 for the girl and room in cash. Drinks are very pricey, so be careful ordering drinks. Prestige has some class and the girls were hot seemed cool, and the one I took gave great service. So far I haven't had any dangerous encounters, but I keep reading the articles about the violence the Cartels is lashing out on innocent civilians. Either was, heading to Durango and Mazatlan next week, and I'll give a report on that as well. Oh yea, make sure you get pesos as soon as you cross the border for the two tolls into Monterrey, I didn't and I actually had to run the second toll. Hopefully I don't get fined or worse. Barrio Anitguo was also really cool to check out. Also got a burner phone from Telcel for 75 bucks a month which included the phone. They didn't even ask for ID, just cash and the phone is yours, pretty easy process too. Kinda drunk writing this, so sorry for grammar mistakes.
50 missing after traveling on Mexico's "highway of death"
At least 50 missing after traveling on Mexico's "highway of death".

At least 50 people are missing in Mexico after embarking on three-hour car trips between the industrial hub of Monterrey and the border city of Nuevo Laredo, a stretch of road local media have called "the highway of death," AP reports.
The big picture: About a half-dozen men have reappeared alive, beaten, saying only that armed men forced them to stop on the highway and took their vehicles, per AP.

What happened to the others remains a mystery. About half a dozen of those who are missing are believed to be USA Citizens or residents, per AP.
The government of Nuevo Leon, where Monterrey is located, did not warn people against traveling on the highway until June 23, after receiving dozens of reports of missing travelers for more than a month.
The governments of Nuevo Leon and Tamaulipas, where Nuevo Laredo is located, announced Friday a joint program to increase policing and security on the highway, "a step that, if it had been carried out a month earlier, might have saved dozens of lives," per AP.
Angelica Orozco, a member of the civic group United Forces for Our Disappeared, said the disappearances are reminiscent of worst days of Mexico's drug war, like in 2011 when cartel gunmen in the state of Tamaulipas dragged innocent passengers off buses.
What they're saying: "Now, more than 10 years after the disappearances in 2010 and 2011, they cannot continue to use the same pretexts," Orozco said.
But "they're using the same lines. . In the last decade they were supposed to have created institutions and procedures, but it's the same old story of authorities doing nothing," Orozco said.
"Only now is the National Guard going out to patrol the highway. Why did they wait so long?" said Karla Moreno, whose husband, Artemio Moreno, disappeared on the road on April 13. "How can this be happening? We were supposed to have more (law enforcement) resources by now. "
