Sad to report that the Colombo Plaza (name soon to change to Cinamon) no longer offers any massage (so no more happy endings)!

In all my trips to Sri Lanka over the last 4-5 years I have stayed at the Colombo Plaza Hotel. During my stays I always enjoyed a massage in the Health Center (with the same well built middle aged Sri lankan lady). Although the massage was fairly short (only half an hour) she made the experience memorable and always made sure that little Freddy was very happy and big Freddy would give her a tip.
On my most recent visit I am disappointed to know that they are not only renovating the hotel - but they have 'discontinued' the massage service.

This makes no sense at all - the hotel will be the loser now as I will seek a new location in future. Do any of you fellow mongers know of a decent downtown 5 start hotel where they round the massage off with a little 'rocket polish' ?

I don't know what they use at Galadari/Juliana, but at Mega Health and Fitness the masseuse said she was using olive oil. Olive oil is quite expensive, which may be why they charge Rs.1000 for the oil massage. In European countries they use things like Sweet Almond Oil, again very expensive and may not be available in Sri Lanka, although you could try Odel. What do you mean baby oil didn't work? Do you mean it was not absorbed into the skin and left the skin greasy? That wouldn't be very good for a baby either. There are various body lotions at Food City and Arpico. Vaseline Body Lotion would be non-allergenic, but not very suitable for massage.

forget about the colombo plaza if they got rid of their nice masseuse. my favourite watering hole in colombo fort is the galadari hotel. the staff are friendly, the food and draught beer are excellent. afterwards i drift towards the health centre on the first floor. ask for the place where there are female therapists. (the other kind is available as well) there will be a nice lady or two at reception. you pay rs.6000, and for this you get a full 1 1/2 hour session. the masseuse will always say hello to little freddy and make sure that he's not neglected.

This is my first one. Thought you guys might want to know how the Asian avenue is in the Grand city of Colombo. My regular place down near Renuka closed down a long time ago, and finally I decided to check out the only other place that has been mentioned as Chinese in this wonderful forum.

A one hour massage costs around 600 rps. The girls could range from 3 to 8, depends on your luck. It takes some time to get to know them, after you do anything can be had for a price. The management is strict about no extras. So watch out. My advice is to tip generously the first time and return again to the same girl. The telephone number can be found in the yellow pages. I also took out two russian to a casino/hotel in bambalapitiya. The russians here are not much to compare with what you can find in the U. K. The price is USD100 for 2hrs. I do not have the contact for this as a friend arranged it for me. I used to have a contact of girls who worked in a leading bank and used to have their services at renuka during office hours. During a spell of I want to give this up I tore up the number, WHAT A LOSS. Hope to write more in the future. I have been multiple times to the Ambassador. It is pretty descent by standards. I've been to the Ambassador at Liberty Plaza twice, once at 11.30 a.m. and the next time at 1.30 p.m. Both times I got lousy service. I would certainly expect to get better service from an office girl who pops into the Ambassador to earn some extra cash on her way home. Have any others come across these girls?

This MP is working as a Gym.It is 15 meters from the fork in Pagoda Road on the left fork and on the left side.
