To Pattaya
Also what is the best way to go from Bangkok to Pattaya, also the cost? First time to Pattaya. Thanks
Take the bus from Ekami (Eastern) Bus Station. I don't remember the exact cost because I drive now. But it isn't more than a couple of dollars.
The BKK BTS goes directly to the Bus Station.
Have you been to Thailand before, and if not, why do you want to go to Pattaya?

Why Pattaya?
Why Pattaya?
It can't be for the beaches - the water isn't clean. It wouldn't be for the Tiger Zoo - it sucks! It has to be beause he heard / read about the hundreds of bars and thousands of girls there - all of them ready to fuck him silly until his wallet is empty. :-)

Exactly

My point exactly! Why go to Pattaya when BKK is much better.

I plan on spending most of my time in Bangkok however some of the members keep raving about girls in pattaya so I thought I would spend a couple of days there if it is not too long a way to go there.

Csun213,
There is plenty of info about Sabai Lodge already posted by Migrant One, Scotty Monger, myself and others.
Current rack rates can be found at the official website:

Happy searching ;-)

That's a good plan. Pattaya is easy to get to and can be interesting for a few days. Anything more than that I don't understand. I have friends who have retired in Pattaya because it is cheap to live, but I don't see how they can tolerate it.
Have you been following the Pattaya thread?

Just started a few days ago since one of my friends who have never been to Thailand suggested that we go there to take a look. Being spending most of my time looking at Bangkok board since we are going to spend most of our time there.

Expectations
One bit of advice about dealing with Thai's: keep your expectations low to avoid disappointment.
Hi,
I have been through the various posts, but was wondering what people reckon are the decent hotels in Pattaya. I'm looking for something a bit more higher class. I have looked at the Vault and it looks good.
Any other recomendations?
Many thanks
The Residence Garden is a pretty good buy for the money. Nice restaurant too and very girl friendly. Has 2 pools. I don't think the Vault has a pool.

This link will get you a good rate.

Amari Orchid?
My tour group has included Amari Orchid Resort in the itinerary for Pattaya. Can anyone tell me if this is a good place, good location and ok with having an overnight guest?

Google is our friend...
Ready,
This is a LP style map* of the hotel and surroundings:

It's for 'business and leisure'
Expect a few eyebrows raised when you drag in a BeachRoad fuckhole.
Don't expect eyebrows any less risen when you bring in a high end gogo ho.
Consider getting a second room on Soi 8 - High Five would suit your needs, I'm sure.
