The bar next to Dimples amongst the Mango bars. That is All Star Sports Bar? I don't know Lone Star. Where is that?
My apologies. I didn't know about All Star.
Graham owned Lone Star which is in the street parallel to Mango aka Gen Maxilom and it is (was?) around the corner from Beverly Boutique Hotel close to the big Iglesia church. It was my favorite bar for more than 10 years.
Now I recall that someone may have said on here that Lone Star has CLOSED, so Graham may well have taken over All Star Sports Bar as a replacement.
It's a while since I was in Cebu so locals please step up and sort this one out.
Seems I don't get to post enough cebuanas here.

Graham has not been involved with Lone Star in a long time.
AFAIK Lone Star is still open, but IMO it was better back in the day.
Cheers.
Leyte (Ormoc) and Biliran (east coast) - will add info only if someone really needs it. X.
X,
I'm interested in your thoughts on Ormoc if you have the time.
I have never visited, but it's on my radar.
Cheers.
Went out the other night with another board member and did a bit of barhopping on Mango Ave. ; Sister's, Planet X, Eric the Red's, and Viking's. I have to say I was rather impressed with the quality of the girls at Sister's and Planet X. We went early so the selection was still good. The bars for the most part were not busy, but then again it was early and it was an off night (not a Friday or Saturday). I found a very hot looking tall and skinny girl with a great ass at one of the bars. The donation to the bar for the girl's EWR was 3,500 pesos.
Sister's had just opened and the girls were still getting ready. I seen a really cute little spinner who I plan to go back and get. As X previously reported, the bar has been completely renovated and I agree it's a significant improvement. The service bar is against the back wall now and the center stage is ringed in a semi-circle /"you" by comfy sofa's. Local drinks were 100 pesos each; single LD's were 180 pesos.
At first Planet X was empty, but at about 8:30 pm things did seem to pick up a bit. 2 groups of K-poppers came in (separately) and of course they demanded a lineup. It was funny to watch the girls as you could readily see which ones were not into the K-boys; they would linger on the fringes of the semi-circle or even try to hide behind a column or behind the backs the other girls. OTH, it was also obvious which ones were anxious to be selected by the K-poppers as they would elbow their way to the front and center of the group. I was glad to see that the 2 girls I had "bookmarked" tried to hide. It wasn't my turn to pay, so no idea what drinks cost.
Eric's was dead and from what we could see the selection there was mediocre, we didn't stay.
Vikings had a mix of spinners to curvy and a few who were quite chubby. They danced solo with an occasional duo shuffling about on the stage and they would change after each song. A few did put on a good show and were good dancers. Local drinks were 100 peso; single LD's were 180 pesos.
Even though I have a string of girls I see here, I'll certainly go back another night to Sister's for the spinner. And most likely for a few others that I seen there and at Planet X too.
Sorry for the late reply. Ormoc is easy to get to from Cebu. I think this is the kind of place to use online sites, or maybe bring your own. I've done both. I'll add more later.

Irony Monger did some good FRs in 2013 on Ormoc and hotels, doubt if much has changed.
BYO yes but plenty cuties there just more provincial minded maybe.
I know a good MILF from Ormoc who likes Greek also (ad I also like her daughter LOL).

Started off at Volvo then ventured to Jave then wandered down to Mango bars and finally walked to Lone Star as Red Kilt described the location above. Apparently Graham used to be partner but sold out and Alastair (Aussie) is still owner. Stage in middle with girls dancing. Fairly basic looking girls but friendly waitresses. So Lone Star is still kicking.

I am glad LS is still kicking, as I always had a good time there and always managed to find someone to my liking.
I am trying to imagine what "basic-looking girls" means but as always, YMMV.
I am trying to imagine what "basic-looking girls" means but as always, YMMV.
A little bit older, a little bit chubbier but maybe a little bit friendlier.
Visited the Mango bar scene three times on my recent trip. The memory and observation skills of the bar girls never ceases to amaze me. Remembering your name from a previous visit when I didn't even remember talking to them is not uncommon. I met up with a non P4 P girl I have known for 2 years who brought her friend. Her friend says to me I have met you before. I said no I don't remember you. Turns out she was working in one of the Mango bars and recognised me from visiting her bar.
I will concur with other reports Sisters has improved its talent pool.
Cebu.
I will share my experience from last visit In Cebu.
1. Massage.
My first idea was some massage parole. Because you can't be sure that you have something more then simple HJ at the end, I read this forum and chose the places with guaranty of BJ as "happy ending" Massage 4 You.
Taxi driver have some problem to find the place, but I didn't expect what I will see.
This place is total shithole. It's like Russians *house for truck drivers in deep Siberia (dirty room with box made of material curtain. It's take me 10 second to turn around and move out quickly. This place have good review on this site, but it is (very) low standard place for some brave (and desperate) man.
2. Clubs (Sister's, Planet X, Viking's etc).
I went in all this club (7 or 8). They are very close one from another.
In my opinion it isn't best option if you looking for some lady companion.
First of all, When you enter the club (no meter which one) it's Open Season for hunting and you are the walking target.
Because you pay upfront, in my opinion it is not best option. In my experience, the girls try best before money change hands. When you (already) pay, your only leverage is tips at the end. That's why I recommend point 3.
3. Girls outside J. Ave.
In this place situation change. You're on the hunt, and girls are (easy) target. It's easy, because almost all of that girls sitting outside looking for companion. The price is about 2,500 (you can negotiate).
Why it's better then looking in the Clubs inside.
A) You can look freely, no drinks to buy (as entry ticket), no hidden cost.
B) When you find some companion, you can speak with her and try to negotiate (what you want, how much it will cost you etc). There is no fix price, no "bar fee".
C) You can pay at the end. You have control on that meeting. For example, when my companion try to play "you pay for only one shot", I play the same game "you try renegotiate our agreement, OK- I can renegotiate the money". It's working.
Choice (selection) of girls in my opinion they looks more amateurish than those in clubs.
There is only one danger Ladyboys. Some of them look magnificent, and it is really easy to make mistake.
Face, boob's, figure, hair, timbre of voice there is no clue, there look and speak like girl. Choose wisely.

You do not know where they live or their real name etc, that is they can disappear, with your valuables. Ones hanging around outside can be bar girls freelancing. Significant number of girls inside disco are not hookers. Be careful.
Has anyone been to the Mactan bar lately? Like Mermaids ect. ? I know there are more expensive than Mangos area.
Also has anyone been to the mango bars lately?
Just wondering how things are now have not been to that area In a couple of years.
has anyone been to the mango bars lately?
Its golden week holiday in Japan. Not a good week in the bars and ktvs. Just headed out for a drink only. One regular bar I visit that normally has 10 to 15 girls sitting on the lounge waiting; lounge was empty. The Japanese are hoovering up whoever is available. Good for the girls / bars. I presume it is the same in manila.
