Since my last note on this subject, I remembered more about my experiences around the Reeperbahn. As I said, it appeared the "ladydrinks" racket for the most part involved nothing more than company with the exception of that asian bar I referred to. I usually don't buy ladydrinks and the establishments were usually OK with my refusal. At that point the "lady" would leave immediately or shortly thereafter. I did have an unpleasant experience in one club where the manager brought a ladydrink to my table as soon as a "lady" sat down next to me. I did nothing more than refuse to have the drink at my table and things got ugly very quickly. The manager got very angry and rude, and was cursing at me. Things escalated to the point where I thought I might be physically attacked and I immediately left. Be careful !

Hazards in the Reeperbahn area include British groups which can get unruly. Unfortunately, excursions by groups of UK males to Hamburg or Amsterdam seem to be popular and a common activity is near falling-down drunkeness. There is also falling-down drunkeness. If there are any UK football club games in the area, you'll know it because of the singing and chanting groups of drunks. To be fair, German football fans can get loud and obnoxious too. My apologies to all readers from the UK. I claim partial UK ancestry, I have traveled through the UK and I have very good friends in various corners of the Sceptered Isles, but you know what I'm talking about.

Maxstraße 3: less than 5 min walk from U Bahn Ritterstrasse, walk along Wandsbeker Chaussee 200m northeast, first street on left.

The area feels very safe and it's only 5-10 min U-bahn ride from city centre.

This place is an appartment building full of flats with independent girls charging 30 euros for blowjob and sex. Very similar to soho walkups in London, but girls are better quality: maybe 6-7 quality average which is good for 30euro sex.

Most doors to the falts are closed so you have to ring the bell. I think there are 6 floors times 2 appartments per floor, in some apartment there are several girls, so there could be a total of 25-30 girls in total.

I tried for 50EUR and for fuck I had to pay another 120EUR. The same is on Davidstrasse. The girls try to get you inside and then inside you pay 30EUR for blowjob only! Club 77: Holstenstrasse 77 ca 10min walk north from Reeperbahn/Grosse Freiheit.

Club Lausen Reeperbahn 59: Historic bordello which is worth a visit on your Reeperbahn tour. Thanks for the Reeperbahn and area updates. It appears Herbertstrasse has gotten gradually quieter over the past 30 years or so but still chugging along. A big difference I noticed about 10 years ago was the disappearance of "Contacthofs" on the Reeperbahn. These were like indoor plazas where you could approach SW, or vice versa, and you would go upstairs to the girls room. As far as I can tell, they don't exist any more along the Reeperbahn.
