Day 1

After reading some of the experiences from previous forumers, all set for the first jakarta trip with another mongerer from KL. It is time for me to contribute some info to this forum and I hope it is useful to some readers here. Took early morning flight from LCCT(KL) and arrived in jakarta Soekarno-Hatta airport approx 8. 00am. As this will be my first post, kindly do pardon me if I may had written any incorrect information. I will just post the stuff I had gone through my entire trip. The Jakarta airport customs is pretty smooth and quite easy to get bluebird taxi just outside the airport using meter. Taxi fee is approx 90K inslusive of toll charges. Went with a friend and checked in IBIS Kemayoran hotel at approx 9. 30am. Reach hotel, not allowed to check in yet as needed to wait until 12pm. Damn.decided to go to nearest Atrium Mall to buy SIm card. Bought Bebas SIM card and a jakarta city map, had Es Teller and headed back to hotel, not feeling to well but managed to check in at 12pm at the hotel.

Showered and took a short nap and meet up with another forumer down the hotel lobby and off we go to venture around Kartika and Berlian area. Took taxi and stop at Hotel Mercure Rekso. Super easy to find kartika as you walk a stonethrow away from the hotel and as soon as you see 'CFC' shop, turn left into the alley and you will see Kartika and Berlian neon signs. Suisse bakery is just before turning into the alley. For first timer, you might find it a little dodgy as you walk towards kartika. Walked in Kartika, approx 40-50 girls and a lot of big bobbies ladies waiting for be choosen.
