Getting the Phachara Suites Without Using Soi 4
Is there an other way to approach Phachara without using Soi 4? I believe Soi 6 one way traffic to Sukhumvit? How much is the internet charge at Phachara?
There is a street that Google Maps calls "Sukhumvit 6 Alley" connecting Soi 6 to Sukhumvit Road. It runs northeast and dead ends into Sukhumvit just a few meters west of the Nana BTS station. If you are walking, it's not far at all from the Nana BTS to the Phachara Suites.
Unfortunately, the alley is one-way northbound and Soi 6 is one way eastbound. So if you are traveling by car or motorcycle or tuk tuk, you'll have to start at the intersection of Soi 4 and Soi 6 and enter from the west.
As for the wi-fi at the Phachara Suites, the last time I stayed there it was included in the room rate. But that was in 2011 and I was in quite the spendy suite. So the policy may have changed.

Grand President, Tower 2, Deluxe Suite
I have ammended my Agoda reservation at Phachara suites from 5 nights to 2 (at USD 93 / night for Executive Studio, no breakfast). Was having second thoughts about spending the whole duration of my stay in a new place.
Grand President (Deluxe Suite, Tower 2) is USD 87 / night inclusive of breakfast. I like their breakfast and the suites though old are roomy and comfortable. Fully functional kitchenette, washer / dryer etc. No WOS in Tower 2 as the reception is in Tower 1.
I got the above rate from the hotel website and grabbed it without second thoughts. It's an early bird rate, so no changes or cancellations. Just a heads up for you guys, all hotels under Compass Hospitality group always have direct web rates which are cheaper than likes of Agoda, WOTIF etc.
