This is the hidden gem of Panama and I almost do not want to talk too much about it. My buddy Biff Dangler (a Panama expert who is on the forum) took me to this place on my first night. The only reason I am going to write more is because I do not think many gringos will feel safe here.

The bar is near Casco Viejo and is next door to La Mayor. You walk in the saloon like doors and instantly smell feet and puke. All you see if local Pana men pounding beers and leaning against walls. They do not look to happy to see unfamiliar faces. The music is bumping and you wonder what the fuck you are doing here.

Beer is $1.25 here. If your huevos are big enough go. If you are timid or look like a big pussy, don't go. If it's safe for my blonde / blue skinny old gringo ass it's safe for anyone. The street and sidewalk are busy with customers, taxis and street vendors all the time. Inside, if a Panamanian is looking at you sideways you're definitely looking at them wrong. They ignore me 100% and I ignore them. You should be looking at the girls, not the guys, in any case. Yes, there are occasional fights among Panamanian guys so keep your eyes open but I've seen as many fights in expensive Chicago dance clubs among the 'roid range idiots.

You don't need big balls or big anything else to have a good time at Boca. Dress down, go with an open mind and you'll have fun. Be cautious, however, about exploring the streets behind the place. Know where you're going, don't just wander around with half a load on. And it's $15 per 15 minutes per girl. If you want / need more time, just pay another $15. Same thing if you make arrangements for more than one girl at a time. And virtually everyone is available for take out. Where else in Panama can you sample the attitude and performance of 6 girls for a total of $90 and then choose one to take out or see the next afternoon?

Thinking of heading to Panama next week and wondering if the $50 chica fee is still in effect at the Veneto. Appreciate anyone who is there now or recently.

I arrived today and I went upstairs to Llegadas (Arrivals) and got a taxi into town for $15. Two turned me down at that price but it still only took 3 minutes to find one to say yes. I also downloaded the taxi zone fare map and the flag drop is $1 and then it is 35 cents for every zone you cross. So basically any taxista should be happy with $2 including tip for short rides. There is, in fact, an extra charge after 2200 until 0500, but it is a whopping 25 cents. It is 40 cents for an extra passenger and not two dollars like they tried to tell this German guy today. Somebody got on my case last year about being cheap with the taxistas, but if you look at the actual, official rates, I was way overgenerous.

There didn't appear to be anything stopping us from going straight upstairs, but the girls seem to accept it as a requirement and lead you to reception to pay the fee.

I meant to say that I went upstairs to [B]departures[/B] and got a taxi. Obviously, having just arrived, I was [B]at[/B] arrivals. Today I got my bus / subway card. It was a pretty good hassle. It's so humid here, all your money goes limp and I had to try several bills. I finally gave up and used a five even though the machines don't give change. Supposedly the $3 difference between that and the $2 price of the card itself would go on the card as credit. It did not. I went across the station where they had an office and they did a bunch of shit, handed me back the card, and said the credit would hit in three days. Great; I will be long gone by then. So I had to put another dollar on it so I can go to Albrook tomorrow. 35 cents a ride is pretty good, though.

As I am going to be around customers, co-workers and competitors, it is not really an option to go to some of the places mentioned here, find a girl and walk back into my hotel with her as I will be noticed and that will not be good.

I am wondering if escort agencies are a good option in Panama. Googling "escorts in panama" turns up a number of legit looking websites, I assume the pricing on these is a bit of a premium. If I tell the escort agency to have the girl dress conservatively and I give the girl my room number, can she get up to the room without an issue or are key cards needed to operate the elevator at the Hilton? As noted I don't think meeting the girl in the lobby is an option for me.

If what I mention above will not work, it seems my fallback is to just get a room at the Veneto and then get a girl from the Veneto or Habanos (still some detection risk I would face). The board seems to note a $50 chica fee at the Veneto. Between the cost of the Veneto and chica fee, I would be better off just paying a premium to an escort who can get up to my room at the Hilton. I kid, but I have been to a few conferences in latin america and noticed attendees in the hot spots at night. But I can understand your concern.

I can't recommend any escort websites, but to avoid the walk through the hotel you can consider the LOS Arcos love motel a quick taxi ride from the Hilton and Habano's.

Look at the craigs list for Panama, some of the gals there are from agencies and otherwise look legit.

If you are at Habanos or the Veneto, chances are you will run into coworkers and you will know and they will know you are all there to hunt.

A lot of agency girls and freelancers advertise on Wanuncio Panama. It is like a Craiglist. If you don't feel comfortable going to her apartment, book you a room at a love motel to stay at night so you will be away from your coworkers.

I think this would be the most economical considering your situation and some of those love hotels are really nice.

Went there today in the afternoon for the very first time. Hard to find. Was walking by two times before I spotted it.

Went in. Very dark and seedy, smelled for vomit. Lots of girls of all shapes. Had a beer (1,50 USD) and was screening the available talent. Saw a Flaquita. My type. Went over and asked for the price.
