Kenny started the boat rides again and this time, the local Rio police raided the boat and took EVERYONE downtown with cameras waiting. All of the gringo tourist were released, some having to pay a fine of not having a passport but this time, Kenny was kept in Jail for three mos or more. One girl talked and she was eventually beat down by the other GDPs for talking, I think she died.
As for Kenny, he eventually got out, crossed the border to Argentina, got a new passport and flew out of SA. I think he moved ops to Sosua, can anyone can verify this?
Bottom line, the boat rides attracted too much attention, they took money away from local establishments (termas, Help, Mei Pattaca) and taxi dudes trying were jealous as hell. Kenny was making too much money and eventually he was charged of running a biz enterprise on a tourist visa. He was arrested at least 3 times, and in each instance he snubbed his nose at the establishment, until they kept in jail for mos to send a message. The story made local rio news, if not national.
