Since the beginning of this month, Canadian citizens traveling to Colombia have to pay a COP160,000 or $80 entry fee.

The measure was imposed in response to Canada's entry fee for Colombians.

According to Colombia's Foreign Ministry, Canadians can still travel to Colombia without having to get a visa first, but have to pay the entry fee when passing through Migration either at the airport.

Col: Bogota (flight from Santa Marta, staying only 2 days before going home).

Any recommendations on cheap, safe and chica friendly hotels (no hassle with discussions) in the mentioned places are appreciated!

Flight from DR to Colombia still not booked because it remains expensive. I hope that will change within the next weeks. Otherwise I'll have to pay 450€ just for that flight.

I recommend staying in Sosua and just going to Cabarete during the day if you want to see the beach there or windsurf or kitesurf. Check Sosua Hotels thread. $40-$60.

Medellin: Don't know. Never been there. My buddy stays somewhere downtown though for like $25 and takes the bus from the airport for like $3.

Barranquilla: Hotel Sorrento $45. Don't recommend staying in BAQ unless there is some chick you are planning to meet. Even then, I would just have her meet me and take a van or bus together to Santa Marta. There is not a damn thing to do there except go to the mall.

Cartagena: Hotel Playa or rent apartment. I rented an apartment first, but changed to the hotel because the apartment was terrible. Cartagena will have the most expensive accommodations of your trip. The apartment I had was like $40 and the hotel was basic and cost $80.

Santa Marta: El Rodadero area. Just walk around and the people who rent apartments will find you. There is a Hotel Sorrento there as well. $50.

Bogota: Hotel La Sabana or El Virrey.

But if you have miles with Star Alliance, for 10 K miles you can fly between Santo Domingo and MDE, Cali, Bogota. If you don't have miles now, you could probably purchase 10 k miles for less than 450 Euros.

Albertos suite doesn't have a website nor email though, a bit annoying for the first destination. So I think I will go for hotel plaza monumental. If I plan to bring chica should I book for 2 persons right away? Otherwise too small bed, problems bringing her up? Is there like a general rule for DR and Colombia regarding that?

I have found conflicting stories when researching this, so does anyone know 100 percent what the answer is to my question. Obviously the Embassy Offices are closed during the Holiday Season so I can't call.

If things go well, it may be implemented in summer 2015 subject to successful negotiations with Colombia. But do not rely on this. It can take longer.

I'm thinking of adding Colombia to my short list of future mongering destinations. So far I've been mongering in Holland, Germany, and Morocco, as well as my home, the UK.

Could people who have been to any of these countries give a comparison with Colombia? I'm mainly into purely P4P rather than getting to know a local and seduce her into bed. Looking around the forum I seem to see a lot of people seem to be chatting up locals and then bedding them, with or without direct payment, but I really prefer places where things are crystal clear and with a good ambiance, safe environment and where I can browse around before parting with any money.

I've most enjoyed the German FKK style so far and found Germany and Holland very easy to get around in with barely knowing a single word of the local language. Morocco quite frustrating but potentially great being able to watch all the working girls dance in the clubs and score a GFE. Albeit too many scammers and risks involved. IMO, Colombia is better than Spain, definitely better than Morocco, but does not measure up to the FKKs in Germany. P4P is widely available in Colombia, at different price levels, from $20 US for a quickie in downtown casa to $100 for an hour of fun with a high-end girl.
