Phnom Penh

I just returned home from SE Asia and plan to make a return trip within 8 months. Last time I generally stayed in hotels ranging from 15-25. It seems like a great price until you add it up. When I go back I will probably spend a month in Cambodia and use PP as my base. What I'm looking for is a furnished one bedroom or studio with air-con, strong wi-fi, not in a rough neighborhood (I will rent or buy a bike and don't want it stolen) , no more than 10 minutes by motorbike to street 51 and no questions / comments from neighbors about my guests. I would also like to be able to rent for only a month at a time. I would say that out of 30 days. 15-20 will be spent in PP. That equates to roughly $350 in hotel fees. Is it possible to find an apartment that fits my criteria for less than $250 / month and if so where is a good place and when is enough advance time to start looking?

JP[/QUOTE]I have taken few girls from Shanghai Bar. Be forewarned as these girls consider themselves prima donnas and will not readily go with anybody. Some are real cute. I visited couple times and be friendly with the girls they started to like me and if they did not to be barfined sent others who will. I belive BF was $7 and negotiate directly with the girl for services. Most will ask for $50 LT. I paid $40.

Servicewise some are good and others just lay there, nothing compared to agreesiveness of thai and phi sisters.

Very few speak passable english. I have not seen any of the girls go to Heart of darkness after work. Since shanghai closes around 1 am maybe you can find some around 2 am.

There are escort agencies where you can get supermodels for a hefty price. Check it out.

I'm based in Dubai where the Girls are plentiful but can be expensive. I recently went to PP with 3 of my best friends and was not disappointed. We stayed at a new hotel (Diamond Palace II) and had nice clean GF rooms for $18us and an upgraded room on the 1st floor $23! It had a nice little cafe / bar in front and the only drawback was there was no elevator for the upper floors.

We mainly visited 136 st and had a great time partying and playing the "bar games" with the girls. Many of which were 6-9 and very friendly. We couldn't believe we could walk out of the place after a night of partying for less than $100 and that included the bar fine and 20-30 for a LT. $20 was what we paid or an all day / night personal Tuk Tuk driver that took us out to visit the Killing Fields and introduced us to some Cambodian Army officers that took us out to a mountain range and for $400 we got to launch an Rpg7 rocket launcher and a grenade! A true "boys trip!"

Overall my favorite place is Patong Beach Thailand (Phuket) its a little more expensive than PP but the entertainment is not to be missed.

I not sure who will want to stay in PP for a month there is nothing else to do here, if you are here for work is an other thing most people will want to leave after a few days, I am sure there are place for rent low end place for local this is not Bangkok.

JP[/QUOTE]I'd try Darling Darling nightclub in the Nagaworld complex. Some nights there are beautiful but expensive ($100-200) girls there.

Or Saint Tropez disco off Street 51. You get some very classy part-time girls there.

Personally I find some of the girls in the bars pretty stunning.

Try Rose bar, Airforce bar and Smile Girl bar in Street 104.

Or Secrets Cafe bar in Street 108 near Golden Vine. Young, slim pretty girls there.

Just bought it as part of my upcoming trip mainly for maps, hotels. Restaurants etc.

Does that mean on some nights there aren't girls there? What's a good time to be there in the hopes of spotting these girls? At $200 a night they'd need to look like they stepped out of Vogue. It's just that some nights you will get a few gorgeous girls and some nights only average looking girls. I've only been there twice, once at about 9pm and once at 11pm.

I think the later the better from what other people say. On both occasions there were only about 6-8 girls there, all good looking but not exceptional. I thInk one night a week may be 'girls night' with cheap drinks for the girls but I don't know which night it is. There would obviously be more girls on those nights.

They are asking $100-200 because they are mainly targeting the wealthy Asians staying at the Naga hotel. Personally I think St Tropez is a better bet. More choice and possibly cheaper prices.

I have no idea if there are any 'model' escort agencies operating in Phnom Penh. I did a quick google search but that didn't yield anything.

Fast Eddie 48[/QUOTE]For the most part my plan was to spend about 2/3 of the time between PP (probably a little less than my anticipated 15-20) , Sihanoukeville and Koh Kong. I was going to spend the rest of the time catching up on the few tourist things I missed. Last time I was there is seemed like moving from place to place required passing through PP so I thought that I could use it as a base. I also found the P4P options to be of better quality (equally as pretty girls can be found for lower prices than other places) and to a certain degree I could probably take being in the city for 4-6 days at a stretch.

It is possible that I have grossly underestimated the cost of an apartment there, so maybe it's best to keep my things and stay in motion. This idea mainly came from using Thailand as a frame of reference, I realized after reviewing my trip that sum of staying in hotels where I was comfortable taking women added up to more than the cost of an apartment if I stayed a certain number of days (ex: in Udon Thani my hotel was 450 Bhat and I stayed for 10 days meaning I payed more for 10 days than I guy I met pays for a 2 bedroom apartment he rents).

Maybe worth a look at some point, but only if the girls there were a clear cut above the rest in the looks dept, and by that I mean in terms of their faces and bodies, not just same old same old with better shoes and hairdos. I'm not familiar with St Tropez. Off street 51 but about where? I assume it's not near HOD and that area or I would have heard of it by now.
