Depends upon a bunch of factors such as how accomodating/friendly the staff is (usually not a problem in case of 4-5* properties), the category of the room you are staying in (better chances of early check-in/late check-out if you are staying in an executive suite or such like), duration of stay (obviously, longer the better), how frequently you stay at that property etc. Ask and you may be pleasantly surprised. There were some serious lookers there too (I think I wrote a report about this observation, not sure). But if you end up with no fixed plans for that early hour, take a cruise around that part of Suk and see what pops up. You might be pleasantly surprised.

At least half of the time I fly over Europe from the US to SE Asia so like you, I arrive between 5:30 am and 8 am. I don't mind these early daybreak arrivals because I have learned to throttle down my excitement level temporarily so as to acclimate to BKK time. Thus, I check into my hotel (early if possible), get some breakfast, and then rest and relax by the hotel pool until normal BKK wakes up. So, by 10 am the malls are open and I go buy a sim card and a few other essential items. By 11 am I have usually checked into my hotel and by noon the massage parlors begin to open as the girls slowly begin to arrive. I have now acclimated myself to BKK time. Let the good times roll!

The other half of the time I fly trans pacific from the USA so I arrive in SE Asia between 6 pm and 10 pm. I have no problems on these night time flight arrivals unless the flight arrives very late because even though I am tired from a 22 plus hour flight the adrenaline kicks in, I am too excited for sleep, and I want to get it on, so I check in to my hotel as fast as possible, take a quick shower and then either I have prearranged for one of my favorite regular girl or girls to come by for reunion party party or I go out to Go Go land if it is still early enough or if later I hit the bars.
