Jet Blue always asks me for a return ticket when I am flying to the DR. If you don't know when you want to come back but need a return ticket you can purchase a refundable ticket from Jet Blue. It costs more but you can cancel it and get your money back. Then when you are in the DR you can buy the ticket for the date you decide to come back.

Meaning they will not question you in the DR, because it is the responsibility to prescreen whether you have a residency visa for the DR, or a return ticket to the US, or a passport for that matter, is delegated to the airlines. Sometimes the airline agents may overlook this, but you cannot absolutely count on it. It could be that the screens viewed by agents require checking a box on correct documentation for some airlines, but not for others, or that some airlines allow agents to override this. I really don't know.
It is also entirely possible that you could arrive in the DR without a showing a passport to the airline in the US, but then you would definitely have problems at the airport in the DR.

I've decided to stay in Juan Dolio initially and will explore later on.
What do you all recommend on where to stay?
I been doing search online and I dicovered a place called "La Siesta Apartment" anyone been there? It seems decent and low cost. But there is vertually no info on it. Can't even find contact number!
I chose Juan Dolio because it is the closest "CLEAN" beach to SD.
P. s: I'm in a similar quest like Camaro's and have no interest in BC. Based on RTFT and the generous advice I got from you guys, I've decided to bypass BC even though it's slightly closer to SD.

I know of others who have stayed there and they liked it. I never spent time there but did see the rooms and they were nice. The ones facing the beach they charge more for. Also, some of the rooms you do not have to pass a guard or front desk so noone knows your business.

Thanks bro. I been looking at Caribe Paraiso. It looks nicer and starts from $28/ night (sin cocina) and Not facing beach. And that's the one I'm leaning towards so far. They offer better deals per week and month.
Plan is hotel, host family (Habitacion) and eventually my own place renting. In that order!!

Colombianas and venezolanas are in general more beautiful, but dominicanas seem to counter with Real asses, not fakes, like their colombianas sisters.
I like Dominican woman. The ones we encounter tend to be poor and not well educated. The will go all out for you in the sack. There is a broad spectrum of women on the internet boards. Everything from church girls to hardcore putas. You have to chat with them to see what you are dealing with. I prefer the semi pros because they do not expect a serious relationship. I want good sex with the trimmings. Non pros want to be wined and dined meet mom and dad. Most have kids and all the problems and expenses they entail.
It is not hard to please them. Nice gifts like perfume or electronics will get everything you want. Speaking a little Spanish will go a long way. I would not cultivate a serious relationship. Be clear about what you want and expect.

Thanks in advance.[/QUOTE]I flew last week from the USA To POP via Jet Blue on a one way ticket and had no problem but the ticket agent I had at check in was a scatter brained Colombian kid that got all excited when he saw my Colombian residency visa in my passport and started a ten minute conversation with me about where he was from in Colombia etc. I was prepared with a 24 hour cancelable AA ticket reservation that I promptly canceled once through check in but once on the plane I was sitting next to an older couple who were refused a boarding pass until they bought a return ticket. I strongly recommend that you come prepared with a return ticket of some kind.
