This is my first time post even though I've been reading this forum for a few years. I'd like to contribute to the craigslist question based on my own experience. Oh, and apologies if this report is too long. I visited Hong Kong for five days last month and stayed in the Wanchai area. But before that I researched extensively in this forum. However, I wasn't keen on going through the bar scene (just not my thing). So, I went through craigslist to see what's on offer. I realized that the providers in that website were predominantly Filipinas. They started at 1500hk for short time, but I reckon I could do better than that (based on prices from previous posts.

What I did was sent emails to a few of them and bargained a few down to 1500hk long time. I also got to know what they are like by asking a few questions so I know if they are going to be a disappointed or not. A few days before I took my flight, I narrowed it down to this certain Filipina who seems to be really keen on sex. I asked for long time with BBBJ, sex 2 times, and cim. After a few bargaining, she said yes. I also asked her to send me another of her photos to make sure she really is the person on the ad. Obligingly she sent me one. I think this is the smartest move to make sure you really are getting what you're paying for. Then I asked her to meet me when I arrive there in the evening.

Unfortunately, when I arrived in HK, it was a little past midnight. But when I called her, she has been waiting for me. So, I asked her to meet me in the hotel in 30 min. Apart from the experience with my BYO girl from the Philippines I spent quite a bit of time in the usual Wan Chai bars, Escape, Amazonia and Neptunes mainly.

While I have previously been a fan of the Wan Chai scene with the change of getting a nice GFE, this trip I did not find anyone I really wanted enough to pay the amount asked. Guys read the price guide by Tony Toro, that seems right from my previous experience. But more importantly the prices he quotes are for top shelf girls. There is no need to pay top price for medium but still ok quality. Look at the ratio of guy to girls, way in favour of more girls to guys except Friday and Saturday and then look at the percentage of guys leaving alone verses how many hop in a cab with a girl. The odds are very much in the guys favour, you don’t need to fund half their trip in the one night!

Totally agree! Just make it clear you know what goes on and be prepared to walk away...

I spent four nights in Hong Kong last weekend and spent each night in Wanchai, both Neptunes and Escape. Seems things have changed slightly from years past. Many of the girls, but mostly the Thais I think, seem to have gotten more aggressive and demanding. For example, I asked a couple of girls for the phone number, after buying them a girl drink, and when they discovered that I was looking to link up later versus the here and now, they walked off in disgust, even before finishing the drink I bought them. Also, the hot ones demand 2000 ST and 3000 LT, and will not react when I walked away from their non negotiation. Number one reason is the changes in immigration policies that always effect WG. Recently pinays are black listed and good looking ones get one chance in coming and if they come back, a high percentage are refused entry. So a few good looking ones here and there are the first timers.

A few years back I used to fill up my car and it would cost me US$17. Today I pay close to US$40.

Then one could ask, why don't you just go to BKK then? If this girl could make what she need with BKK rate, she wouldn't have gone through the trouble of comming to HK! A can of soft drink is 3 RMB in Shenzhen, 4 in Shanghai, 8 in HK and close to 11 in Seoul.

Yes! It definitely has some effect. Also visitors that come here and compare the prices here with US and Europe and are willing to pay those higher prices are also a factor. Also the girls girls get less time and the cost of coming here is going up and they try to make more in less time. And the list goes on..

The girls in Wan Chai has to work all night and she may or may not have a client. The girls at brothels get a somewhat steady fellow of customers so they can have lower price. Also, the clients there are working HK people, not the businessman in town spending what he had earned in US or Europe.

I am not trying to be a hard ass here, but one should look at these things from different angles. I hope your remaining days in HK are safe and fun filled.

Not only that. Also the bars require lately the girls to show their passport before they can enter. Especially at Escape this has a big effect. 70% of the Colombians are over Visa.

Concerning the prices I had 1 week ago a nice experience. Saw a girl in Traffik, but she was with another guy. I have had this a few times but only saying they are not a working girl (not mentioning about no money) It makes for a really nice GFE and I treat them like a gf as well.
