IMHO, the best time in Sosua starts on Monday when most of the tourists leave and the discos are not crazy. Tuesday & Wednesday nights are the best, you can have any girl of your choice and actually enjoy the nightlife.

I heard of two very nasty fights in Classico last week Saturday and the previous Wednesday. Didn't see it, home playing XBOX. Classicos (one way out)is not a good place to be if the shyt really hits the fan.

From what I am seeing In My Humble Opinion, the hiphop guys are some of the worst acting tourists in Sosua. Not all of them, I've met some really cool guys but the other "NY Guys" what some of the local DPs call them. I've seen causing disturbances in the Discos by "Making it Rain"(throwing cash in the air) fighting over putas, and even jumping into the pool at Passions with all of their clothes on and pulling the girls in with them, jeesh, not that serious!

I've come across all types and I thought the Germans were bad when they were drunk, still do, hahahaha. But this Big Willie attitude with the bottles of Grey Goose stuff for cheap hookers is way to much.

Lopkx....well I agree with you 100%. I was trying to allow everyone to move on and not let someone highjack this thread by posting insulting comments. That said, call it the lack of following the "code" or a lack of "class" but I get angry when I see or read about individuals or even worse groups of guys that have behaved or are behaving in a way that brings negative and unwanted attention to all of us.

The ability to fly "under the radar" is important to many of us for both personal and professional reasons. When I see photos and videos posted where the faces of the "guilty" are visible all over the internet and / or loud obnoxious behavior in public it negatively impacts us all. I have found a high correlation between the comments / opinions being posted on various sites and the public behavior demonstrated while traveling in the DR.

Personally, when I travel I try to avoid these embarrassing public displays by getting up and walking away. I try to do the same thing when I post.

I've been to the DR 19 times over the last 4 years and I always have one recurring problem. I know I'm opening myself to jokes and complaints. I should have posted this in general info but this board is hot right now. I'm planning my 10 day trip for next month and need advise from extended stay mongers. Every trip after the 4th or 5th day there my digestive system goes thru an adjustment. After a couple days adjusting I'm normal for the remainder of my trip. I've tried drinking only bottled water, eating at the same restaurants, and eating just salads. I'm not into taking medicine but does anyone have any natural remidies or is it just something everybody has to deal with? (yall stop laughing at me).

I hope you didn't take my post out of context, I don't hate anybody. I am pointing out the bad behaviour of a few that ruins the reputation of the others. The crack about the Germans was said in jest since most of my friends are Germans and several times a week I enjoy a currywurtz mit brotchen and Weissbier with them. I don't know anything about the Russians buying up all of Sosua because they are quiet and to themselves. I'll stress that the majority of tourists I've came across are nice guys mongers who are looking for a good time!!

It appears that whenever their is some rowdyness going on it appears that the same FEW bad apples are ruining it for the others. The "NY Guys" comment is what the local DPs call them. I hope this clears it up. I am not trying to point out a certain race just bad apples.

Terry I understand were your coming from and before anyone else says anything I am black but some of my brothers are screwing it up for the rest of us. Yes some of my brothers that are coming to Sosua are trying to be rappers and create their own hip hop videos in Sosua. Trying to act like Little Wayne and Cash Money Crew.

We go out find what we want and bring them back, or call who we already know. These must be younger cats just messing up the game.
