Yes, you can book a room for two and give them the girl's name and I D and all that, but if you just want a place where you can have girls come over without any fuss, it's probably not a good choice.

Has anyone been to, or has reliable info about the newly opened Ocean Livingstone in soi 33?

The photo gallery looks a bit unreal, all in white.

The rooms apparently have not changed much, but the food should be quite different from Guido's style.

I'll be in BKK from Jan. 25 onward and am considering staying there again.

Swimming pool closes at 6pm! Good thing is that the pool area is finally decent and enjoyable, but on "working hours",

Away has gone the Sport bar with the choice of inhouse ladies,

Gone is the all day breakfast option, and no more included in the room rate.

Rooms have stayed the same, with their useless dimmed lights,

The atmosphere is more lounge and cozy for (regular or semi-regular) couples and alikes.

The soi 33 location is no more much of a mongering one, even if bars and MP's still fill the soi.

The significant western influence also in the bar and restaurant might make feel the (guest) Thai girls uneasy, compared to the previous administration (although the staff needed some addressing under the Hermann times).

I stopped going there about two years ago, when the pool was left abandoned and the prices did not reflect the quality supplied, as I found other better options at same price.

The new venue doesn't appeal to me anyhow, so "Livingstones" is archived in my books.

Most likely we are not been the clientele they are looking for.

If you visited Livingstone's in the past don't expect anything similar now. Not good as a mongering base.

Soi 33 is a disaster desire comments to the contrary. Avoid as all the bars (bar 'The Office" are tatty.

The service was less than professional. I liked two things about the hotel: the location is fantastic and I got free use of the Fitness First Platinum Gym. Otherwise there are less expensive hotels with an equally good location and much nicer hotels that cost only a few dollars more.

Quality of rooms is different, if you request for the renovated rooms you feel very comfortable.

Restaurants is in my opinion overpriced. You can find much better choices, but Overall the time in Landmark was always enjoyable. Never had Problems with brin the Girls in (Maybe it also results on my attitude and Treatment of staff in Landmark, Be always polite and friendly, then it Comes back in same way.

I guess to be there again in April or May this year. Looking Forward already with hot thoughts!

This is only an opinion on the soi. I used to go and stay there, but now it is a waste of time. These are only my reason and from what I observe. I used to stay at Livingstones and it was fine for me. I enjoyed the sports bar and breakfast. Breakfast not happening now from what I hear. (1) The area had mostly average priced shops although there were high end places. Business people used to go there after work. That worked for a while. Now you don't get the business people comming after work. Prices have gone up to where they are rediculous. Last I talked to a place it was 1800Bf. WTF. (2) The japanese have invaded the area. They move in and the Falang doesn't show up as much. They bring family and neighborhood changes.

(There was no business group working to keep local businesses and promotions going so everybody go do it yourself. (4) Location. Out of the mainstream from Lower Sukhumvet so need a reason to go there. To many other choices. I believe it is soi 35 or 33/1 that is now thew better soi. But it is a dinner, lunch crowd and drinking area. They have taken the client

Actually, I'd stay there again because of the location and great gym, which I used almost daily. The staff was very polite and friendly. Had absolutely no trouble bringing ladies to my room. The staff was very polite with the ladies.

Unfortunately, they confirm what I had feared.

Having stayed there for 5 straight years, I had to miss out 2013 due to health problems.

When I tried to make reservations for this January, there was a communications snafu, so I booked elsewhere (Citadines 23) for the first week, fully intending to investigate Ocean-LL and possibly move there for the remainder of my stay. So now, I probably won't.

Anyone know of girl friendly hotels that have two bedroom suites? Two seperate bedrooms, not a room with a living area and one bedroom.

The Column on Soi 16, reasonably close to Soi Cowboy.

Fraser Suites on Soi 11 reasonably close to Level and Climax Clubs.

Phachara Suites on Soi 6 reasonably close to Annie's and Nana Plaza

IMHO they might not be keen to do so, but it is just my opinion.

DS[/QUOTE]I just found similar pricing at majestic grand in so 2: closer to some action, better rooms (I would say more comfortable, but that is me) , better service (Livingstone was going down in the last 2 years) , better breakfast (albeit till 10. 30am).

I also experienced that, gaining knowledge and experience about the town, there was no need of an inhouse sports bar (with outrageous bar fine between 1000/1500 be.)

Soi 33 in itself did not have any value. I headed there just for Livingstone, thanks to the board.

Was happy to do so, but also happy to have moved elsewhere.

But do not limit yourself t my suggestion, plenty of more.
