- At one point the music in the room changed from being very meditative to more song orientated with some guy singing about walking on a road, finding a pub and getting a drink. That broke the whole atmosphere that had been up to that point.
Thanks for the review of your trip to Kashima. I do recognise most of your comments from my own visit since I got the same massage room as you did. It wasn't really a big problem with the noise of people from the street, but I guess there are better rooms there. I really had to laugh when you mentionned the music because I think they do have music in a loop. I believe the song you have in mind was Craig David: Walking Away, although he is not singing about drinking in a pub? I am not sure, but that's the song that didn't really belong there with the rest of the music. Ok everybody knows that it's quite calm music so personally it didn't bother me at all.

But when I know a song I tend to listen to the lyrics and that really took my mind away from the massage. BTW. I do not think it was Craig David.
At the bordellos (KD, VK, Royal) where do you keep your yor wallet, phone etc during a session?
Most bordellos hire a gypsy to look after the guest's valuables while you are in the room.
You keep them in the room with your clothes of course. Where else would you put them. I have never had a problem. If you are worries just take enough money for a session.

AM
I've never been to a bordello, so I don't know how it works.
So, there are always a shower in the room, I mean you don't have to get undressed in one room and shower in an other? And you are never far from your clothes beeing able see them the whole time?

Norjan
Some have showers in the room. Others you trust the the bordello not to hire and keep thieves on staff. I mean how long is a bordello, especially a well known business going to stay in business if customers are ripped off of valuables by the girls? As I say I have left my wallet & phone in the room when I have a shower many, many times and now don't even really consider it. Bi I also take the precaution of not carrying much more than I will need for a session. If that disappears then I would invite them to call the police if they still thought I needed to pay. But the scenario that you seem to fear in really not likely to happen.

Money washing
I always pay the gypsy guy MORE money than is in my wallet, so he has no incentive to take any of it.
Kidding aside (am I really kidding?) , there are 2 things you can do. The showers are very often in another room, usually the bathroom (shocking ain't it?) and you can bring your pants or shirt or whatever your wallet is in with you so you can easily observe it all the time. When you are in the shower, you lock the door from the inside. Simple. Another trick a tute in Amsterdam told me is to put your wallet inside a shoe where it cannot be seen. Can of course improve upon this system, by also putting a little note over the top of your shoe saying " Don`t look here, there's no money". Google translate will give you the Hoch Deutsch.
Angus is right that all these places deal with it in pretty relaxed fashion, it does not seem to be a problem and word would get out if it was. But I have to admit it has crossed my mind as well, especially in a new place etc. But in the better bordellos, it is not an issue.

Norjan
RB has doubts about most things. That is the source of his might. Except, he has doubts about that as well.
You see, even you, the mighty Rocket have had these doubts.
It is not so much about doubts, rather about using common sense and managing your fear. Even though I trust the better bordellos not to rip me off I still would think twice about taking hundreds of extra euros in with me and leaving them in the room when I showered. I would either not take the money, hide it well in my bag (where it would take more than a cursory search to find) or figure some way of taking it with me to the shower-a small toilet bag or something unobtrusive.
My philosophy can be summed up thus: trust in God, but tie up your horses.

Bordello step by step
By RTFF I think I've got the picture of how things are getting done at KD, VK and R.
1. You enter an apartment where you meet a house lady.
2. The house lady takes you to a room where she will show you the available girls.
3. You choose a girl and you tell the house lady how long you want the session to be and then pay her.
4. The girl takes you to a another room (maybe even an other apartment) where you get undressed, place your clothes and other belongings on a chair and then take a shower.
5. Session.
6. You are free to take another shower afterwards.
7. Leave the building.
Have I got it?
Have I got it?
Thats about it. The only slight change I would make is that even after telling the Hausmutti how long you want, the girl herself will come back, take you to the room, ask how long and then you pay the girl herself. Just to be clear.
