After returning home from the DR Friday, I went straight home and jumped in the bed. The time was about 11:30 PM. At about 6:45 AM the following morning; my oldest son entered the room. He said I'm about to go to the DR. You about to do what?! As my eyes focused on him I seen him with his Suitcase in his hand. He was dead serious. He said it was a last-minute decision and he had been talking to a girl online. Her mother speaks English is going to barbecue for them. He is going to meet them when he gets there.

I just talked to him 2 days prior to me leaving and he said nothing. I forgot he even had a passport. He got his passport in November 2019 with his live in girlfriend before they went to Mexico. How the hell do you plan on getting around I asked. I'm going to go to the Rent-A-Car place in the airport, then I'm going to use my GPS to get to my hotel. At that moment I looked in his eyes. My first instinct was to go the fuck off. Are you mfing crazy! What a stupid and gullible decision you are making. Going to the DR by yourself and you don't speak any Spanish. You have about $600 in your pocket and your credit card that you have not activated for the DR. But then my father- player instincts kicked in. I didn't try to argue much but instead I try to reason with him.

My son and I have a good relationship. I don't tell him how to conduct his business and he doesn't ask me for any money. He's grown and can make his own decisions and he knows that. I know he's also hurt from his relationship with his living girlfriend. He has a lot of sexual frustration and he needs an outlet. I showed him I sympathized and I chose to compromise with him.

Son listen please do not feed yourself to those hyenas. You're setting yourself up for failure. I'm not saying you cannot go to the DR but you should not do it by yourself. What kind of father I would be to allow you to make such a careless decision. Listen son I know you're frustrated. I know you want to get away. Hell, I just got back myself and I extended a week. Just listen to your pops; if you wait and give me one week I will take you to the DR myself. But what about my ticket? Cancel it and I mean that.

So he and I go to canceling his ticket. First he bought his ticket through a third party and not through American Airlines. They're going to charge him $60 administration fees. Second his flight was at 8:30 AM. He was leaving the house at 6:50 AM. It's going to take him about 45 minutes to get to the airport and another 30 minutes to get his car parked and situated. He would have missed his flight anyway. Then he bought a one-way ticket thinking it was round-trip. He would have been lost had they asked him when was he returning. Finally, how dare he go to the DR without telling ME his pops and letting me take him there. He would actually rob me of the sensation of taking him over there. I keep telling him to use his cheat code. His father is his cheat code!

We typically leave them to unnecessarily suffer many things needlessly on there own. So dope you had this opportunity to educate and share some life long lessons making this a milestone trip in his life.

Time for the DR and I want to make a good example. Our flight was at 8:30. We left the house at 5:30 and arrived at the airport at 6:15. I showed KJ (son) the advantage of traveling light. A carry-on is all you need for five day getaway.

We arrive in Boca Chica and it's time for the block. KJ is 6 foot 280 pounds medium brown. He has a baby face and military style haircut with the hood style waves. He's not a small guy by any means however; he was getting stares at almost every chica he walked by. Many of the chicas thought that he was younger despite his size. It's not every day you find guys his age on the hunt in Boca Chica.

(Side note) when Zion saw headhunter you can immediately tell they didn't like each other. I was the glue that put them in the same company and they both were Haitians. Gogo and Mr. E are vets and they catch hell because the Dominican's are always trying to get over charging extra for shit you don't need. Olkool you yourself would not dare drive through the traffic. Also, his debt card was not activated for the Dominican of republic. It didn't matter they don't take debt cards anyway. You must have a credit card and they immediately take $200 off it for a security deposit. Let's talk about the hotel. If he ever made it there. He reserve a room through Priceline. The room was $55 a day. For five days $275 dollars. They want all of the money upfront.

Of course once he gets to the hotel they're going to charge him Taxes. Him being green he doesn't know they're trying to get over. He doesn't know the exchange rate and he's carrying dollars in his pocket. Then its the chica he supposed to meet. Her mother speaks English and was going to cook for them. But as cool as Gogo and I are, I had to be the first one to take him there. I remember in Cuba seeing Mr. E travel with his pops. Imagine the memories they share together. I could not let anyone besides myself rob me of that memory And historical event.

A little personal information about me. I've had full custody of my oldest son since he was two years old. His mother dropped out the picture and I didn't give a fuck. I had custody of my son and that's all that mattered to me. He and I have been together from day one. I got him his first piece of ass. I helped him get job at my place of employment. I always rent through AVIS and Alamo, they both let me use my debit card but I think they put like a 500 dollar hold on the card. But you are right about getting overcharged for shit that you don't need and got to have a few pesos for them corrupt once they realize you are gringos. Last time on my way to the airport, two cops stopped me trying to shake me down, they accused me of running a yellow light. They said they were going to give me a ticket, I told them go ahead write the ticket, then one of them told " well if we give you a ticket, you have to drive back downtown right to pay and that would cause you to miss your flight, second option is to pay us now ". I told them, I like the first option. They got mad, they threw my licence and rental agreement in the car and took LOL.

Me personally, I can think of no greater surviving story than having Dad not just put his boy up on real life game, but showing him how it is done at an early age. Not many boys will get this chance.
