If they have any vacancies, they will go you space for as little as 2 weeks. The rates are higher for 2-12 weeks, and will be lower for 3 months or longer, as you might expect.

The following anecdote gives us a reminder of a number of don’t do’s in Jakarta – and other places in SE Asia.

I met with one of my regulars the other night. This girl is typically a young girl having fun and looking for new experiences. She hangs out at CJ’s quite a bit lately, the place where I met her. Since then, I meet her every once in a while to spend the night together, which we both enjoy. This is pure sex experience, ie we never socialize outside of my bed (LOL !). She was extremely shocked by this statement/offer and felt really insulted.

Bottom Line : Not all chicks at CJ’s etc are working girls. There are quite a few genuine girls going to CJ’s and such high-end bars to simply have fun with their friends, and if the right guy comes along, they will end up in bed with that guy.

Additionally, as a personal comment, I never ever mention the money issue myself at the bar or before going back to my room with a chick, since it is not always really obvious who these genuine chicks are vs WG’s, and also I’ve had many freebies from WG’s. If they want $$$, they will bring up the $$$ issue themselves. I personally think there is no need to bring up this issue – plus I find it a real turn-off.

Jakarta is not that complicated. Pussy Master 78 (post below) certainly figured it out, just read his report for a quick overview. Also, check out the reports referred to in the "Reports of Distinction" section.

To make it easy for you, here's a quick overview of some (but not all) of the good places:

[B]Mall Hunting:[/B] Go to the Atrium Mall, also read Bulai69's reports on this place. I've also had success at Plaza Semanggi, Plaza Indonesia, even mid-afternoon at Plaza Senayan.

Prices similar to the night-time spots below, many Atrium girls will settle for 200,000 to 250,000 rupiah for short-time. Only downside here is that many Atrium girls will speak very little English.

[B]Massage Places:[/B] Go to Kartika Spa, which features the Thai body-to-body wash massage, for 250,000 rupiah plus an expected 50,000 tip. This is the home of the famous Cynthia; there's also a 'returnee' girl to recommend here, Rista (pronounced "Krista"), who worked here in 2004 and early 2005, then left to have a baby, then just returned to work this month. Easily the tightest pussy I've ever found on any working girl in Jakarta - hard to believe she's given birth. Not GFE but very good service provider - great oral attention and cowgirl finish, just lie back and enjoy the show

Or try one of Kartika's two neighbors in the same alley, Berlian Spa and Royal Massage, similar pricing. Other nearby possibilities in this area include Hotel Travel, Today Country in Lokasari Plaza, Olympic and many others - just read the forum. Or, go to Hotel Melawai in the Blok M area, take an elevator to the 6th Floor and visit the Maribaya Bar/Spa, 350,000 rupiah all-inclusive, no need to tip extra. This place opens by 10 or 11 a.m. and has two shifts of girls, day and evening shifts (change-over at 5 p.m.), lots of good choices on the day shift. My earlier favorite here, Tari, no longer works here, so ask for Evie

[B]Slightly lower end:[/B] Take a taxi to Jalan Industri 9-11 right behind the Sheraton (the Sheraton that's in town, not the one near the airport). There's a very recent report about this place, one page below. Should cost you 150,000 rupiah plus a small tip

[B]Slightly higher end:[/B] Go to Sumo Shaitsu Spa in Kelapa Gading, or else Emporium, or Beverley Spa in Kota (near the train station). Can cost you 500,000 to 1,500,000 rupiah. Many good reports have been written about these places during the last 12 months or so.

[B]Night-time pick-up spots:[/B] Easy, there are three well-known places, all in 5-star hotels - BATS at the Shangri-La Hotel, Tiga Puluh Bar at Le Meridien Hotel, and CJ's at Hotel Mulia on Jalan Asia-Africa. Note: don't confuse this hotel name with a similarly-named hotel, the Gran Melia Hotel on Jalan Rasuna Said, which is NOT a big pick-up spot.

For slightly-lower bars, go to Blok M at night to visit D's Place, My Bar or Top Gun, all in the same block on the same street.

Short-time prices seem to be around 250,000 to 350,000 rupiah, long-time (overnight, with at least 2 pops) seems to be 500,000 rupiah, maybe a little more. Some girls may start with a much higher asking price (1 million and higher), but please don't fall for that trick - they usually drop their prices by quite a bit immediately, especially if it's close to closing time and they are hurting for money. Please don't overpay!

Interesting - many of the same girls that you'll see at BATS at 9 p.m. may be found at the Blok M bars after midnight, for a much lower asking price.

[B]A unique place:[/B] Go the Stadium Night Club, near Kartika/Berlian. There's a massage parlor on the 3rd floor and a wild disco on the 4th floor that is open 24 hours a day on the weekends. The 4th floor is not my type of scene, so I can't comment on it, but there have been several interesting posts written about the 4th floor during the last year.

Had a couple of good sessions with a very petite girl named Melly who works at the 3rd floor massage place, for 257,000 rupiah house fee and a tip of 50,000 rupiah.

[B]Taxis:[/B] To avoid getting ripped off, use Blue Bird or Silver Bird taxis (same owners for both) and insist on having the driver use the meter. You can also ask the driver to wait outside a club/spa for you with the meter running, for Blue Bird it would cost about 20,000 rupiah an hour to keep the cab.

Yes, there is a lot more to the Jakarta scene than what I've written above, but at least this is a start for a visitor who's only in Jakarta for a few days and who wants to get laid. Good luck!

Never saw any fat babes but the photos tend to make the girls look better than they really are. However, I did find a gem once. Anyway to cut a long story short, she turned out to be quite responsive although her English conversation was almost zilch. But then who cares if you can have an all night three-time marathon!

A tip is not necessary there? This is news to me. I've been going there for almost 10 years now and I've never not left a tip if I received good service. I normally tip 50,000. I've discussed the appropriate amount of a tip there many times with many friends, and 50k seems to be the norm. Maybe we've been overpaying all these years.

I'm curious, who told you a tip is not necessary there? I know a tip is not expected at Delta massage if you get the 500k hot rock treatment and they give you a hand job, but I was always under the impression the 6th floor girls were being tipped. Actually, I give a 50k tip at every *****house in Jakarta. The 6th is not an exception as far as I'm aware.

The reason a tip matters is because girls often (not always, alas) keep all of it. In 6th floor girls only keep half of the money, the rest goes to Maribaya, but they keep all the tip.

Of course, we may have different spending budget but if a monger feels he's unable to leave a reasonable tip for good service in a place, maybe it's time he took his custom to a cheaper place. This doesn't only apply to flesh spots: restaurants also expect tips for good food and service, and it's not a good idea to patronise an expensive restaurant and never leave a tip. One of the reasons I don't patronise top-tier call-girl services in JKT is because if I pay one million for a girl I'm not prepared to add a 100k-200k tip. Seeing the smile on a girl's face when she notices you've added a 50k bill to the agreed price is one of the pleasures of mongering in JKT.

I have tried Hotel Menteng a few times and also Megaa Cikini hotels that are close by for massages.

Menteng was good once but now its old. Was there a few months ago adn thought at 11pm to go have massage. Well the guy didbnt know who was on duty. Showed me to an occupied room etc. Was total disaster. So went to Mega Cikini where I had a great time. Then next trip. Was a regualr at Mega Cikini. And found a real cutie who didn't want to play. Money presuaded her otherwise and she was heavily into it at the end. No language but she was loud and only 19. Anyways both Mega Cikinis are good places to start and finish a day and cure that nagging tension we all get. Going to Manila at the weekend which will certainly solve current tensions yeah!

It is indeed a good hotel, but I thought it funny when the bed kept moving with every movement we made on it :D One moment we found ourselves at the other end of the room :)
