I am a bargain / basement hunter visiting SEA in 2 months. I always try to find the cheapest way to do it wherever I am. I've been to some real shitholes.

It seems in SEA I am most likely to need my own hotel that is guest friendly? I plan to stay months at a time depending on which location I like best. But usually 1+ month per city.

How much should I expect to pay per day or for a month (I've often been able to negotiate better rates for week+ stays)? I am thinking cheapest will be $25-30 USD per day for a guest friendly hotel + $40 - $50 for 1-2 HR for freelancers? Is there any way I can do it cheaper?

I would rather pay less than have amenities, but want my own room and prefer my own bathroom + wifi. I have stayed in some pretty bad places (not super clean and in bad areas in LaTam). But enjoy being close to the action (walking distance).

I do like the setup of just finding a street worker and there already being a location like in Greece or LaTaM but I have done escorts, etc. Just seems to be more expensive per day even if the value per minute is better. I am okay with 10-20 minute sessions if they area vailable.
