Oops I did it again. Had another Manila trip that is.

Just came back and as expected, practically the whole trip was centered around family and friends gatherings etc. Amazing how large, families are still in the PI!

Everytime I come back from the PI, I get amazed at all that goes on there - and on this particular time, I was truly amazed that the International financial crisis seems to not have affected Manila at all! Stores and restaurants etc are all still doing a roaring business and everybody seems to be still all out and about just enjoying! A friend told me its because the PI has always been in a recession - and as such, the latest "recession" is no big deal and people just go on with their lives.

But the uber-luxe stores at Green belt Five, the 70 feet Italian yacht (the old one was too small at 50 feet!!), the US$15,000 Kelly (?) handbag flaunted about, the P3.5 million Suburban.... for the body guards! - all this just blew my mind!

But the ladies - oh yes, the ladies, they're all still there and ever so sweet (no particular memorable etc experience to warrant a report) and all still available at a resonable price. You guys got it good there.
