Great post: dealing with WG 101
Hi Five,
MAB is totally correct. Here is the way to handle it and not have to deal with the emotional pressure. First, bake into your mind that you are in charge. Every interaction with her leading up to the action should be done with this attitude. You are the decider. You must win any challenge to this role. When she asks for the money up front, you look at her like she just said she was from Neptune, smile a bit, and say "No, after, *of course."
If she insists, or pouts, say that's the decision, and if you don't like it, leave now, and no taxi money. Tell her she knows that's the way it works, and there is no point in pouting. Then start taking her clothes off, or your clothes off. In other words, don't let her get you into the back and forth at all. Start the action, and if she continues to pout, kick her out (she will cave in, unless she is determined to rip you off, and those need to be kicked out).
Trust me, once she loses this challenge, *she will respect you more* and the sex will be better. If she wins, she won't respect you as much, and her service will show it. This is China. Power seduces.
GM
GM: great post.
This should be the introductory chapter in "The Foreign Male Visitor's Guide to China".
Well done GM.
Also this is my experience (gently but firmly applied) , and it always works.
Enjoy and report.

Thanks for all the helpful advice guys

They want to see me again. But strangers get paid at the end or they walk.
Girl for 2 or 3 days / nights
Hi,
I am planning to travel to Shanghai in two weeks and stay there for approx. 3 days. As I don't want to be alone I am wondering if it is possible to find a young woman to spend the time with (GFE).
As I don't trust the ads on the internet I hope that somebody on this board could give me some helpful advice. I don't want to fool around in the clubs to find a girl. I want her to come to the hotel the same afternoon I arrive. So it is necessary to get to know her before I arrive in Shanghai.
I would be very thankful for any serious information.

Karaoke Scam is Alive and Well in Xintiandi
I fell for it, hook line and (almost) sinker as well!
Well I pretty much knew what was happening pretty quickly, but for some foolish reason I played along to the endgame. I was drinking a beer outside at Paulaner yesterday evening when a very cute girl walking by caught my eye and smiled and waved. She came over and I bought her a beer, and on schedule her phone rang within 15 minutes or so and her friend who just happened to be shopping wanted to meet her. The friend came as well, and they wanted to go to a nightclub. Up to this point I was suspicious but the little head was still in charge, but when I suggested we go to Brown Sugar just across the way and they deferred, I knew the jig was up.
So I played along, and they took me to a karaoke place, insisting it only cost 100 RMB for the room and of course further insisting that they had money, no problem! They did pay for the taxi. That I made sure of. Soon enough they bottle of brandy and the 1900 RMB check arrived, at which point I simply said I'm not paying, I didn't order anything but a few beers. The girls were VERY upset by the whole situation, as you can imagine. I put 500 RMB in the managers hand (we had 6 beers total, plus a fruit plate, plus maybe 30 minutes room time and that seemed like a fair price). Naturally he and his several buddies were blocking the door but I pushed through them, opened the door and started shouting "HELP HELP HELP!" and they immediately backed off.
I know from more positive experiences with Chinese friends that KTV bars are "legitimate" businesses with legitimate customers, so I knew they wouldn't want too much attention. Still, I count myself lucky. I know the game, knew it was going down at the time, yet I still played along for some stupid reason. Probably I didn't think there was really that much danger, and as it turns out there wasn't, but in retrospect I could easily have had my ass kicked (I'm a lover. Not a fighter!).
Stay safe out there guys.
BTW Also met a very lovely, sweet and sensual Cambodian girl at Manhattan the first night in town. She was truly special. The next night, after the KTV experience, I went back to Manhattan and was bowled over by a stunning stunning Filipina, but when we got back to the hotel and she undressed I could smell her stank from across the room and I gave her 100 taxi fare, then called the Cambodian girl for a "second date". So despite a couple stumbles, Shanghai has been fun; but I'm not sad to leave tomorrow. Never really did like this city!
All's Well That Ends (Relatively) Well
Well, turns out my karaoke scam experience had a happy ending. Last night I went back to Paulaner and was sitting inside drinking a beer and chatting with one of the "working girls" when I noticed the second girl from the night before walk in and pass my table. I quickly got up and followed her, catching up just as she was about to head out the back door. I'm certain she didn't see me when she came in. She must have been scouting for another easy mark.
Long story short, I convinced her through sheer charm and flirtation to give me 300, which all-in-all was pretty reasonable since it left me down only 200. My charm and flirtation mostly consisted of calling her a thief, a ****, a lying fucking *****, and telling her that I would love to meet her boss and yes she should call him right now while I waited with her.
On my way back inside I apologized to one of the waitresses who witnessed us arguing inside, and she told me "don't worry I am happy you get money, those bad girls cheat many customers here."
And a note on Paulaner: I never see it mentioned here but it's not a bad alternative to Manhattan, as long as you realize it's just a regular bar with a few working girls. I'd say there were probably 10 or so last night, ranging from 3 to 6+ on the scale (for comparison, I wouldn't say many of the girls in Manhattan were much better looking, there are just many more and not too many on the low end). I ended up with a very pretty part-timer (if she is to believed) from Hunan who was a bit of a freak and loved biting, hair-pulling and ass-smacking!
Needless to say the evening turned out well!
Oh I almost forgot, I saw a girl in Paulaner who I had seen and chatted with the night before in Manhattan. So there does seem to be a little crossover, but it's a totally different scene.
Manhattan Girls in Paulaner?

They first try to find customers in Luna Bar or Paulaner, if not successful, than they will go to Manhattan to get another chance, when Luna and Paulaner are on the way to close. This girls prefer Xintiandi, because all the Filipino and vietnam girls in Manhattan low down the price. In Luna or Paulaner, they can get deals for 2000 to 5000 for a overnight service, in Manhattan they will have no chance to find a customer for that budget, here they can get not more than 1500 to 2500. So easy to understand, why they prefer Xintiandi and go there for "hunting" first.
