I would be interested to know what you mean by this. I now live in the DR and I choose to go with haitianas 80% of the time. The reason is that I find them more sincere, honest, appreciative and affectionate and usually better educated. Having said that, there is a small group of hardened and hardcore haitianas to be found in and near the Merengue Bar in Sosúa, but they are far from typical. They have been in Sosúa too long and have picked up the worst traits of their Dominican "co-workers". I look for those fresh out of Haïti.
As for the overall quality declining in Sosúa, guys have been saying that for the five years I have been visiting and probably for decades beforehand. What is clear is that prices are now more attractive than anytime in that five years because of the drop in gringo visitors due to the economic situation, at least 500 pesos less for ST or TLN.
We'll when I say acting like a hatian It's kinda hard to explain but I'll try my best. I am from Newyork and where I'm from we have alot of Hatian Immigrants and they act the same here as how they do there. Hatian women act overly sassy (trying to act cute) but not in a cute way. They try alittle to hard to be accepted in my opinion. And they also talk loud as hell. And quite frankly their english accent can be annoying especially if they are talking in their normal loud tone. All this translates into goofieness/unclassy. You might not understand where I'm coming from but I'm sure alot of people on this forum can understand what I mean.
But all an all I have the most respect for them because practically all of them out here are more educated than the dominicans. They are the underdogs here! I don't want to make a blanket statement but this is what I observed. Also I noticed that the Hatians don't take as much pride in their appearance as the dominicans. Natrual beauty is what attracts me, but it kinda bothers me to see the hatian women doing all these extra unnessary things to themselves. Like putting all these chemicals in their hair, excess make up etc. Basically I want a quiet haiana that will fuck my brains out. Shut the hell up, take my money and let me call her later. Plain and simple LOL.
And please don't take any of these statements as racist. Because I am a black man myself. This is just my observations.
I don't think you want to spend more than one nut in Hotel Cubano, it is a step down from Calypso! Hotel Romanoff has a few decent rooms, great food downstairs, (Thai/German).
The nicest quickie hotel is The Coco Hoe-tel, real nice Canadian folks run it. I would even spend the night there if the chica was giving it up in the AM.
Thanks for the Info... I ended up renting an apartment up the block from Europa from this cool ass french lady. Nice apartment kinda steep on the price though. 40 per day no a/c. But the perfect location. Off the beaten path secluded enough for privacy but close enough to the action. Between the autopista and the main strip.
Planning to go Sosua in Nov. Will be going solo. Thinking of staying at New Garden. Does NG have a safe in room? Any safety concerns for solo mongerer? How is the diving in Sosua - which operator? Also, are their ATM machines handy or do you exchange cash at airport?

NG is the best place. You have a safe in the room and Lorenzo completed the dinning area. Breakfast is included and the AC is ice cold! I had a jacuzzi this time around and put it to good use, supermarket is right down the road and the action is a stone throw away.

Sosua is pretty safe overall. Just don't let any chicas old or young try to hug you late night to pick your pocket. I have never felt threaten in sosua. But one night an old lady try to hug me and pick my pocket.

See your private inbox for contact details. One of our esteemed posters/monger who has not posted here for awhile has been through all this before. He can help you with most anything.
Clasico close at 3:00 am Monday to Thurday, and 4:00 am Friday and Saturday.

I was not interested in her and did not want to be rude, but she got into my back pants pocket and got away with some money without me realizing it at the time.
One night in D'Latinos bar I walked in and two chicas started to dance with me, I had my money in my upper shirt pocket. I am sure the two chicas were feeling for where the money was and sure enough the one chica dancing behind me reached her arm over my shoulder and her hand was heading for my shirt pocket, I just walked away.
If street rats approach you and are aggressive with wanting to touch you, be aware.

The nicest quickie hotel is The Coco Hoe-tel, real nice Canadian folks run it. I would even spend the night there if the chica was giving it up in the AM.
Agreed, I only used the Hotel Cubano one night, only for sex. The room was good size, with a bedroom and a separate living room. The living room had a small bed, where my wingman had sex with a really short, small chica. (My wingman said he felt like King Kong when he was on top her). I used the bedroom with another chica. Price when I used the Hotel Cubano was about 30 dollars. The chica I was with lived in the Hotel Cubano.
I also used the Hotel Delfin one night for sex. The Delfin is across the street from the big supermarket (Playero Supermarket?) on the main road. The room I had at the Dlefin was beat up. The room had a small kitchen and a good size refrigerator, but the place needed some work. The Delfin had a back entrance with a gate, down the block and across the street from Classicos. I believe a French Canadian guy was running the place when I used it.
The last time I used Hotel Calypso, was when I picked up a dark skin flaca in High Caribe disco (now closed). High Caribe was a big disco outside the center of Sosua, it had an indoor and outdoor area. Some late nights at High Caribe they would bring in roosters for a cock fight. The one time I used Hotel Calypso, I was not impressed, appears the staff at the Calypso at that time did not clean the rooms between guests. Condom wrappers were on the foor, maybe one small clean towel. Maybe the Calypso is better now or maybe if you use that hotel early in the day the rooms are cleaner.
One of the worst places I used for sex was in Boca Chica, some tiny room on the second floor of some building on calle duarte. That place definitely did not clean the rooms between guests. Some chica jerked me off in that room and I shot my load on the bed cover. A friend of my used the same room later in the night and he told me afterward the top of the bed felt wet.
I am also interested in this information and any input would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
Went to the club last night. I was told they close at 3am M-Th 4am Fri-Sun.
Hi Slimtower
I appreciate your moderate reply to my question. See below:

I'll have to take your word on that because I have never visited New York. If you had said "acting like a New York Haitian" I wouldn't even have queried it. In fact it confirms what I said about Haitians (as with many other nationalities) getting corrupted once they leave their own environment. As New York is even more different for them than Sosúa I can believe what you say.

Claro!

I don't agree about them taking less pride in their appearance. They just have a lot less money on average. On the whole I have found them to be less inclined to mess their bodies about with dyeing, tattoos, piercings, excess makeup, etc., and, like you, I prefer natural beauty.

You can definitely find a choice of studios at or below that price. Get a local lawyer to represent you. It's worth having someone check the transaction - keep in mind that any RE transaction is buying a piece of paper that's only as good as the local legal system. Most asking prices are much higher than a fair market price - you have to low ball and negotiate, just as you would for a chica.
For a condo, keep in mind that the association is a critical part of the transaction. A bad management/association can leave you with an essentially worthless property. The north coast is littered with literally abandoned or nearly abandoned condos.
RENT FIRST. Stay there. Talk to the residents and get to understand the complaints and issues. There is no place you can buy you can't rent first.
Condos Dominicanos in the middle of Sosua right near the city hall has decent studios offered in that range. It's been around a long time, has a stable management and owners, is rentable both to regular vacationers and mongers (it's chica friendly). It's got it's own internal political issues though and it's no AC . I think that title is reliable but always have the transaction vetted by an experienced attorney. There are lots of other studios around.
I would not just buy one without living in it and doing the homework as you can easily end up just losing all your money.
I would not just buy one without living in it and doing the homework as you can easily end up just losing all your money.
Thanks a lot Marc A. I think I will listen to that advice. Better take time and do enough homework than loosing all the money.

Try the two realtors (below) for rental or sales info.
As mentioned Condos Dominicanos is a nice, well-run complex in the middle of town. Also Casa Residencial.
The realtors can advise on others, making sure you get a title to the property, etc.
The management will make or break a complex.
If poor, the place will go down hill fast, regardless of how it looks now.
Also, renting first is a good idea.
