Do not worry about pricing. It is the same as it has always been except more girls quote $2,000 or $1,500 to start with on the chance that they will get it.

I picked up the hottest girl, imho, who was in New Makati on a weeknight last week and gave her $700 and she has been texting me wanting to meet again.

On the weekends there are plenty maids around. Usually they will go for free as long as you are buying them drinks/food, but in any event I have never paid more than $500 for a maid.

If you are a reasonable guy most of the girls will want you for a regular and since I life here maybe that affects my pricing as they want future business too. If they think they will never see you again that likely factors into their trying to get as much as they can for a single transaction.

Prices have not moved. My only complaint in the past 2 years has been the quality has seemed down in Wan Chai.

While not my scene I can tell you that you got ripped off majorly for that type of place. That whole Temple street area has walk ups around the type of place that were getting laid only costs $140 and the street walkers take $250. The nicer massage parlours in that area only charge $600 to $1,000 to get laid and use their hot tubs, saunas and other facilities.

Thanks for the update. That reminds me of a lesson I learned in May: the maids get commissions too from drinks in places like Laguna's.

I was having a good time and ended up spending $2000HK on drinks in Laguna's one Sunday afternoon. Later, one of my regular WGs told me that any woman makes a drinks commission in there, not just WGs. Changed my whole perspective.

Sometimes the non-WGs are the ones to watch out for. At least with the WGs you know upfront what's the deal. If anything develops beyond that, it's just a plus.

I had a bad experience with a money-grubbing maid so I think on my next trip I'll be sticking to WGs from Laguna's.

You need to be careful with some maids as they will try to suck your wallet dry as any working girl if they think you are a patsy.

When I said buying a maid food/drinks I did not mean girlie drinks but just being a gentleman. There is no reason to buy a maid a commission drink just get her a beer/strobe/G&T or vodka red bull. If a maid asks for a commission drink then it is likely better to look elsewhere as its not as if there are not a lot of maids around on Sundays.

I just wanted to give everyone a heads up about a new scam in town, well its certainly the first time I've came across it!

I was in Escape last night and it all started when I was approached by a beautiful young girl from phi, she certainly stood out from the crown and looked more singaporean than filipina her name Katie (28), she also had a sister in tow who also looked very classy and not your average flip, as I said both girls were very classy.

I offered her a drink and Katie started ordering 150HKD (Lesson Nr1 beware of the girls that start ordering the large orders in quick sucsession) rounds thick and fast for both girls (Tequila & Kahlua) all the time Kate was very flirty and touchy, this went on for a couple of hours, the drinks were coming in thick and fast, in all fairness her sister would disappear for a while then pop up, but i felt obliged. They both claimed they were on holiday, single, looking for mr right, no kids. There was none of the typical, leading questions such as where do you live etc? Anyway 1.30am comes around and this was my first prompt to katie to split and head home, to my suprise she said she wanted to carry on partying, this was the first alarm bell but by this time I was smitten and she was totally gorgeous (Lesson Nr2 Beware of the gir who doesn't want to leave) so i thought i would roll with it there was a part of me thinking she was a good girl, new to this and was nt your typical freelancer so i let it slide.

All during the evening this short stocky fairly young indian fella who was pretty drunk, kept on coming up and talking to both girls, both girls told me he was a friend of one of their girlfriends, he's lost a contact lense(wtf) the sister telling me he's like a brother to them...blah blah blah.(Lesson number 3 beware of the fella that won't go away and bogus story about contact lenses :))

Another hour passes and this guy keeps coming up to Katie, anyway its clear now that there is something between them, but not sure what, maybe a jilted boyfriend? By this point I have burnt through around 3500HKD on drinks and I am starting to get a feeling this girl is nt going to close and I am think to bail and get her number and pitch her for a proper date.

Then boom! the indian guy comes running over and grabs katie, me and it all kicks offs, bouncers, katie, indian fella and myself, then boom! Katie runs off and a split second laters there's a raid at Escape and all the police come in. I go outside after Katie but she's gone and because of the raid I can't come in. Eventually I get back in once the police leave and catch up with the sister. I explain to her what happened and try to get at the bottom of all of this sh*t. who is this guy? who are u girls? she keeps saying that the guy as helped her family, like a brother blah blah blah, its katies fault she has many suitors after and they all end up getting jealous, a normal night with Katie by all accounts!

Now I want to sqaure up to this guy, he's attacked me after all, ripped my shirt and blown my investement (remember the 3500HKD) and I have n't managed to get Katies digits. All the time the sister is trying to keep us apart. In the end I am able to have a word with him and he comes clean. The girls are working for him and he gets commission on their drinks, it also turns out he's in love with katie and he obviosly got jealous! Now hold on a minute..commission? This also explains why the sister did n't want us to speak in order that their cover was nt comprimised, also it she was feeding me a lot if sh*t!

This hit me for six, I was played massively and I was also a little sad as I genuinely thought she was a lovely girl and was seriously contemplating asking her out on a serious date, if I did n't end up sealing the deal.

So I word to the wise. I have been to over 40+ countries and mongered in all the major destinations in the world and I haven't come across a scam like this before so beautifully executed. Of course I expect to buy drinks, but you normally expect that to lead to a close, in this case it was going nowhere.

So please beware of the scam, these girls, and drinks to nowhere!

Lessons learnt from this:

1. Limit the large rounds or I could even argue, swerve the girl that expect you to buy large rounds over and over again, all my good experiences in HK even with some of the most beautiful girls end up result in normal drinks or even if expensive no more than a couple of rounds. There is no correlation to spending lots of money on expensive drinks and a good time

2. If she doesn't leave want to leave after a few hours, you need to ask why? Especially if she is all over you.

3. Check out the guys that keep coming over causing agro, there is normally a reason, agro attracts agro.

This is the entire lesson in a nutshell. Buy one drink and ask about taking her out before any more drinks are purchased. Even a nice girl in Escape knows the score and wouldn't be too surprised if she was mistaken for a working girl, especially if she was in there at night when it's all WG.

The other thing is be very suspicious of girls who want you to buy rounds for all their friends. I've only had that happen a few times and it's never a good sign.

One time it happened to me on an afternoon with nannies I knew.

I am a bit surprised about the Indian guy causing trouble. Given that -- let's face it -- non-whites are charged cover charges to get into the Wan Chai WG bars, I'm surprised an Indian guy was running a scam. Maybe he was not Indian but Thai or Filipino?

I'm not endorsing racism but just acknowledging that typically those bars are full of nothing but white guys and a bunch of Southeast Asian girls. Occasionally, one will see Indian businessman types in there, or black Americans, or maybe the rare Chinese but, as a rule, that guy would have set off alarm bells in my head a tiny bit.

There are many Indians in Hong Kong who effectively act as pimps to these girls. I have seen and talked to them in Shenzhen when they bring the girls there before for the visa run. I do not think they fall in love with one girl because some of the girls I took told me he has sex with all of them. It is possible he has arranged with the bar a cut of his ladies drinks. All of the girls in Wanchai bars get a cut on the drinks you buy. With so many available women it is stupid to buy 2500 HKD worth of drinks to ladies there. I usually do not buy any ladydrinks and go straight to negotiation for sex. You cannot look for love in the wrong places.

Absolutely this. I NEVER buy drinks for the girls in Wan Chai bars. I talk to them a few minutes and if things go ok I ask them to come with me for a fair price, NEVER more than HKD1000. I always refuse their request for a drink. Either they want my business or they don't. I'm a nice guy but I refuse to be taken advantage of, and in my humble opinion the whole drinks commission thing is a scam.

Hey guys, I happened to be in Causeway Bay and I thought why not check out the Phoenix Apartments where there is always a good 141 girl or two on offer. Phoenix Apartments is on Lee Garden Road around the corner from the Lee Theatre Building one way and around the corner from the Lee Gardens office tower the other way. In places like Escape, Amazonia, Neptunes etc. it is common practise that girls live off the drink commission and actually don't go with anybody because the drink commission is quick and easy money. Did you try their drinks? You would have found out that there is almost no alcohol in it, if at all. After spending HKD 3.500 the girls must have been dead drunk.

Yes, I know girls in Laguna, Escape, and elsewhere that live off drinks commissions.

I just meant the police rushing in part of the story sounded a bit new to me.

The one thing I learned the hard way on my last trip was that any girl in one of those clubs makes money from drinks. Not just WG.

So now I understand why the nannies were so eager to get me to spend $300US one afternoon on drinks.

At least the WGs will discuss leaving after one drink.

I think some WGs set their price so high because they only want to make money off drinks and not go with anyone.

Most of the time, I have luck. Buy one drink, discuss price for all night. Anything over $1500HK is rejected by me, no matter how hot. If I can't talk them down to $1K HK or $1500HK at the most for all night, then I move on, no more drinks.

I've had some real hotties and sweethearts that way. I usually don't get the flashiest girls in Escape, for example, but I am happier with a normal looking girl anyway -- easier to get into my hotel.

It goes w/o saying that I'm big on LT and don't do ST from bars. So your experience may be different.
