Of note, we took a cab from the Veneto to the Grand International and the guy started at $7 and I talked him down to $5. I walked this route several times, and it's about 6 blocks. Somehow he managed to make the drive take 10 minutes. Perhaps to justify his price. Foreshadowing. Taxistas in Panama City are awful people.
