In the US you couldn't touch that for less than $300/ hour and if she's smart she'd probably be getting $500 or more. Then again, in Santa Fe 100,000 COP isn't too hard to find, but probably not looking like that.

If you search the various prepago agencies in Bogota you'll find prices from 150,000 to 1,500,000. From the high end, 300,000 doesn't seem too bad. Of course the real questions with any of them is, how accurate are the pics and how good is the service?

If you compare Bogota casas and clubs prices to Medellin, you'll find prices about the same, and if you compare Medellin and Bogota Prepagos you see prices are pretty close.

Problem with agencies is you're also paying the owner / operators of the agency, not just the girl. In fact, in the example below the girl probably doesn't see more than 200 of the 300 k per hour rate, probably just half (150).

That's why Facebook and Whatsapp is getting so big nowadays, although that method obviously has its drawbacks as well; it can also be even more hit-and-miss than the agencies until you get your sea legs and develop your contacts.

If the girl you are looking for is not available than the agency might be able to offer alternatives. In fact, some of the wisdom that I have learned from the Board is that if you call an agency you should probably have two or three girls in mind as preferences. The one girl I found through a taxi driver in my one week in Colombia took 30 hours to secure an appointment. However she was quite fresh and probably the best of the week. I showed her picture to some Medellin veterans and nobody recognized her. The other girls the taxi driver showed me were actually recognized as girls who frequented the Mansion. I am certain the taxi driver was tipped as part of the 200000 pesos I paid her.

Last week I spent 4 days in Cartagena, 4 in Medellin, and 1 overnight in Bogota because of delta airlines horse shit with spelling inconsistencies in my boarding pass (first name Czech spelling vs American spelling inconsistencies).

My one night in Bogota was spent in the living 55 hotel that was mentioned here earlier, no clue if it's chick friendly, it's in a shadier area of Bogota I presume, but it very nice for the 100 K COP cash I paid -photo attached-; the area near the airport / commercial is extremely safe looking in contrast and including nice hotels chains.

I went to dinner at Andres restaurant. It's a wicked cool looking place, definitely worth going if you're looking for a more upscale food option (100 K COP bill for drinks and steak, comparable to the nice places in Cartagena's old city and Medellin). Walking in I saw more white Spanish looking Colombians there than all my time on Colombia. Like I walked into a fancy restaurant in Madrid.

A friend I met in Medellin advised I go to el Castillo. I believe it's one of the premiere clubs in Bogota. It's in that shitty part of Bogota, Santa Fe I guess, and at the corner of the place waiting for my uber, which are available all over Bogota (unlike Cartagena and Medellin) and I sincerely recommend over the taxis, I was approached by two different weirdos at the same time from different directions and was like no thanks, please back the fuck off.

The club itself has no entry fee, and is a pretty nice setup from my experience in Colombia. Bottles are 100-300 K. Club started filling up with a lot of men which was unusual from my time in Colombia (this was a a Wednesday night). Girls are attractive, probably as attractive as la isla in Medellin, no complaints there. However drink prices are steepish; I paid 50 K COP for a diet coke and a whiskey for a chick), I assume I was supposed to get change but the guy just kept it. He told me it was 150 K COP for 30 min. That was on the more expensive end by Medellin standards, but livable I guess for Bogota's better club.

I picked a hot girl who ended up being from Venezuela (I would rate her a 8. 5, one of the hotter girls in the club) -pic attached-. I don't speak Spanish and communicate via Google translate. We danced for a while at my table. She was hot, it was hot. She then told me it was 170 K for 15 min, 250 for 30 min. I was like WHAT? That makes it as expensive at Cartagena's infamous pley club. I didn't expect that in Bogota. She made it sound like that was the house price, and negotiation wasn't a thing. It was my last night in Colombia and I had actually skipped Venezuela to go to Colombia instead for safety reasons so I thought 250 K for 30 min, fine, whatever, my last hours in Colombia, a hot Venezuelan will be poetic, plus I was sure she was supporting an entire family in that country's economic turmoil, so let me be ripped off. And she said I could take a photo of her too. I didn't bring that much with me after the drinks and high cost, so I asked if they accepted cards which they did (I had not used my card anywhere but bank ATM my whole time in Colombia until then). We went the to cashier chick, she swiped my card and gave me a receipt for 390 K to sign! I was like no, and refused to sign it. I never really negotiate with anyone if the price isn't fair-ish, and just thankfully decline. Here I had to Google translate that they needed to cancel it. The additional fees on top of the 250 K were the house / card fees or whatever, I wasn't listening or cared. My chick was pissed once we finally got it canceled (I tipped the cashier chick like 6 k to save some face in all the nonsense of canceling the charge). My chick didn't even want to sit with me for an apology drink I told here I would get. She told me if I had 170 K COP in cash I could still do 15-20 min. I had that much in cash and I felt like shit at that point about the whole thing, so I agreed. She got happier after that. We went up to the rooms, they were unused, my guess the girls don't get that many takers, just lots of bottle-service chat / dance action (similar to la isla given the prices). Rooms were big. I started getting undressed and she took my phone to take some selfies, I forgot about that in all the mess. We had a nice session, she tongue kissed me too. I'm not upset with the 170 K for the session. But I would not repeat for that much at that club, or any club in Colombia after my time in Fase dos in Medellin. We said our goodbyes. On my uber ride back, near my hotel around a turn where a club was closing, these 3 weirdo crack heads started talking to me through the window, and actually started chasing the uber in full sprint for a bit when it start to pull away. It was the only time I felt in danger in Colombia. I mean imagine if these guys met me outside the security of a car, I would literally have to run from them in the middle of the night in a city I know nothing about.

Anyway, I'm very attractive, so I'm especially offended when I get ripped off for my own reasons, valid or not, and hate it. I *think* my friend said he paid 60 K for 15-20 min at el Castillo, so I have no idea if girls have different prices or what, so that just confused the whole affair for me. And on top of the weather always sucking in Bogota (I don't travel 10 hours from California to have to wear a jacket) and the danger I felt, I will not be coming back to Bogota. Fase Dos stripclub in Medellin (180 k for hour with any girl, no horse shit) on the other hand. Take me back.

In terms of the online agencies. Can anyone recommend a decent one which does not do the typical bait and switch?

Even Ridgecrest is chilly this time of year and having spent a winter almost homeless in San Diego, I know how miserable the weather can be.

As far as weather goes, year round, Bogota beats just about any place on the planet. Humidity is low, temperature almost never leaves the 45-80° range, cool at night, warm during the day, 12 hours of daylight year round. No swarms of mosquitoes or flies to deal with. Just not much to complain about. Even many of the more upscale hotels don't have air conditioning or heating. Other than rainy season, you're almost guaranteed good weather.

Granted it's a potentially dangerous city, and Santa Fe isn't the best area, especially at night, but what do you expect in a city of 8 (census) to 12 (ask a local) million people? Try a midnight stroll in South Bronx or Ford Heights in Chicago, or East San Diego, Compton, Watts. Every city has places best avoided at night.

I'm a bit confused about the relationship between being attractive and getting upset about being ripped off? Don't ugly people get upset when they are ripped off? I always thought that was universal.

I'm not trying to beat you up over the report. It just seems you let the one real issue, overcharging your card, taint everything about your brief stay. Bogota is better than that, but it requires some research and you were tossed into a situation where you didn't have the time for the research.

The guys who chased the Uber outside the club, just a guess, had probably called for one and thought you had grabbed their ride. I'm not saying it couldn't happen on the street, but not many thieves are going to chase after a moving car.

Us ugly guys get freebies and cheapies because they feel sorry for us.

I think your friend was wrong, or confused, or possibly had not even been to Castillo. I reported last August that Castillo was 160k. (Or maybe you didn't hear the "1" part when he said it.) I am not sure why anyone would pay that when they can go around the corner to Troya and get girls just as good for 36k. I walked into Castillo, asked the girls the prices, and walked right back out.

Be careful when using Uber. The chick came to see me at the airport and said she paid 25k for a taxi there. She wanted me to spend the night with her so we went to a hotel close to her house on the north side. When we were leaving about 4am the guy at the hotel for some reason could not get a taxi on the phone. So I called up an Uber that was close. I did not know until after I got my receipt that there is a 15k surcharge for airport trips. The total ended up being 39k. Highway robbery. And the funny thing was that as soon as we were pulling off in the Uber a taxi appeared in front of the hotel.

But to clarify, I don't fly on vacation 10 hours to wear a jacket. I hate the fucking cold. It's why I would never live on the east coast. Why I would never vacation in Europe in the winter or go to Alaska LOL. And it's why I don't want to go to Bogota on vacation. Compared to Medellin which had amazing weather for me and Cartagena, which was hot but still preferable to Bogota's cold weather for me, Bogota would have to be better in all other aspects for me to care enough to have to walk around in pants and a jacket. And it wasn't for me. The dudes who chased the uber did not think it was their vehicle, they didn't even look like they knew what uber was LOL. They also weren't with each other. They saw me a gringo in the back window and came up to the back Window where I was sitting and were calling and motioning to me through it. Twice between the car moving slowly around the corner. And then sprinted after it when it started moving around the turn. It was really weird. I guess I can see why you're defending the place, I guess you like it. But don't try to make up explanations for my experiences. I didn't post that here because I'm a timid, unconscious, non-exploitative individual. I posted it because it was the weirdest encounter I had in all my time traveling in Colombia and made me uncomfortable. I get that there are places in America that would be met with similar danger or unease. But why are you comparing these things. I went to Cartagena. I went to Medellin. I went to Bogota. I disliked Bogota the most for the reasons I posted. Why would I go to Bogota when I can get better weather and the same mothering experience at the same or better price. If there is a fase dos copy in Bogota, I'd be happy to know it. But I doubt there is and even if there was, I will still say, okay. The weather still sucks.
