Noi is not that great as a working name. Too common. Girls may change to something more exotic as a working name like Ice, Apple, Champagne, Tukata, Oil, Vodka, Bell, Benz, Candy, Grace, Emmy, Rose, Nancy, etc. And some of these western names cannot be pronounced correctly western style by most Thais.
I used to have several Nois in the phone, and would think "who T'fuck is that? So had to include the place knowing the Noi. One was a GF's mother. One in Doll House, one in Crazy House, one in SuziW etc. There is more than one type of Noi too, A high tone Noi and a low tone Noi, spelled differently in the Thai language. That comes to the average given if they work 7 days a week.

This means they are doing better and richer than the US workers because everything is cheaper here. It also implies Korean, HK, Japan, or Taiwan are all doing better than US. Some of these East Asia countries hire a lot of workers from Southeast Asia countries for about $800 a month working 6 days a week. A friend of mine has 5 maids. Since I live in Mexico, I looked up the Mexican figures in the same report. The minimum daily wage in Mexico is about $4 USD / day. The report lists $2,700 USD per year which works out to be about $10 USD / day. Or about $200 pesos per day. Which is about what the average shop clerk, etc. Makes. So I must conclude that the report actually means Average Income Per Person.
So that would mean that the average "low end" wage in Thailand would be about $400 baht / day which isn't far off from Robert Long's post saying $300 baht / day.
