It is not poverty or poverty thinking. These guys subconsciously resent women probably from having been snubbed by women too often back home, and having sex with women for as little as possible palliates their ill will.
I am in Pattaya now and I could care less what others are paying. It does not affect me in any way. I pay what I want to pay and that is all that matters. If you are paying less for the exact same girl for the exact same performance for the exact amount of time, more power to you. It doesn't matter to me. As others have said, it's my money and my time and I'll do what I want with it and no one's going to tell me how to spend my money. You should focus on yourself and stop worrying about what other people are paying.

When I find a girl I like, I'll bar fine her and maybe pay more than necessary. I often tip mamasan if she has a good group of girls. Not too difficult to understand why the guy would feel somewhat less transactional towards a hooker who's been staying and going around with him for a month or two, as obviously they'll have to be doing something else than just fucking or drinking coffee all day for two months.

They simply don't care about money and have a cheap flight. Also bear in minfd that Korea is on of the most indebted countries in the world. They have many cases each year of suicide becuase of debt. They are doing it because they are getting paid for it. Same as the hooker. But for the cash, neither would be servicing you. They use all their savings during their time in Pattaya, and try to impress their friends by buying dozens of drinks for Soi 6 ladies. Because their friends know their wives, the Koreans are reluctant to go to the room with a lady, its "drinks only".
Having said that, there is at least one Korean bar on Third Road where Koreans go alone, and do barfine ladies. These are mostly guys who are in Pattaya longer than 2 weeks, and they often set up a lady as a Mia Noi for the time they are in Pattaya. But the behavior of those Koreans is different than the two week millionaires, they aren't showing off as much.
