I was surprised yesterday when I went to do my once a trip walkthru of Amazonia that the band that plays on Tuesday and Wednesday was pretty decent.

Wuhuhu. My first time in Manila was fun!

Arrived from cebu around 10am. Checked-in Diamond Hotel around 12pm. Was very tired and slept until 6pm. Woke up and felt damn horny, so I decided to head to LA Cafe. It was not far from the hotel. Well I am back in the Land of Pussy (well in IMHO it is but I can seen as biased :)) and this time decided to spend a few days Manila (as I really don’t like the capital the more I go there only because it is dirty, polluted, noisy and expensive by Philippine standards). Pretty good veggie massage, no extras, not even HJ. It is a full spa with steam room, sauna, jacuzzi. Separate areas for men and women. They even give you some minimal C+ food.

If you want some extra service, try the Boulevard spa, although run down, you can ask for at least a HJ after the THOROUGH body scrub. Executive Core Spa also has HJ, but is inconsistent.

If you want just the massage and skip all the other stuff, then call a service to your room, half the price and certainly more convenient.

I was wondering is the heart of manila (airport, makati, malate) fully functionnal now? ie : electricity working at 100%, internet working, restaurants are delivered with supplies, roads open, not too much dirt on the sidewalks or not?

because on TV the dramatic images seems mostly about problems in the favellas of Manila, not within the coastal zone of malate, ermita etc.

To put it in a nutshell is ok to come to manila in the next few weeks to support the economy that will likely needs our pesos.

All trafic at Nina Aquino is normal or is it best to fly to clark?

I flew in yesterday from Davao, and the flight took off and landed on time. The streets of Makati are dry; traffic is moving normally, and there's no indication of any problem here.

After hanging around and moving to the PI, its just to damm easy to pick up "real dates" wherever you go. I think most of the time the news is going to make these disasters bigger than they are. Don't get me wrong, it got pretty bad but you are going to see the worst parts on tv and news. Malate was fine afterwards but businesses had some damage due to flooding. I was able to travel from Malate to Makati easily. Only one small street was pretty flooded still on Sunday. Havana was pretty busy on Sunday night. Friday night there were some lookers there.

I am adding to my post here. Again, it got bad here. Locals here living in low lying areas really got screwed. I'm not trying to downplay the events here, but from my view in Malate and Makati things were getting back to normal. I flew out to Cebu on Monday. No problems.
