My Perspective on Quality
Opebo,
I've been going to Bangkok since 2000, and I've found the quality to be about the same now as it's been for the past eight years. There are, however, fluctuations. One trip, the quality wil be good, the next trip it will be mediocre and the trip after that, the quality will be excellent. For me, the quality on the last trip was as high as it's ever been, and as Mick can testify, I'm quite picky. It does, however, take patience and research to find good quality girls. Sometimes when I go into BG 7, Thermae, Gulliver's or CM2, I'll see no girls that meet my standards. I just walk in, walk around, then move on to the next place. If I keep on looking, I almost always find someone good. The same thing applies to soapies. Recently Mick and I went to Utopia (usually a good place), but we didn't find anyone we liked. We left and went to Tarawadee and both of us ended up finding someone acceptable. Right now, Tulip has some of the best-looking girls with the best service that they have ever had.
My view is that it makes no sense to bemoan the state of the girls in Bangkok. There are some great ones out there. It just takes some planning and patience to find them.
Obviously quality is drastically, shockingly down compared to say 6-10 years ago, even with the slight uptick recently due to the economic downturn. Quite simply, the prettier girls are not available to farangs in a better economic environment, because if at all possible they prefer to either 1) remain respectable, or 2) only service Thai men and avoid the despised farang.
This is basically the same pattern that has repeated itself in Asian country after Asian country - many decades ago Japan, in the last couple of decades South Korea, and now the last domino to fall, Thailand. The world darkens, our options draw in, and we are lost gentlemen.
But as to how to deal with it for now, Knobrm, just get used to being serviced by older, unattractive women. That's what I've done.
