Grand Mercure Asoke Residence in Soi 19 (note: not Asoke Residence in Soi 21).

They have two type of apartments: 70 sqm and 90 sqm.

My booking is for the 70 sqm but I always get (as returning customer and Accor Platinum) a free upgrade to the 90 sqm.

They have around 80 rooms in the building, most guest there are working expact types, mainly Japanese.

Pool, gym, sauna and steam room on the 12th (highest) floor.

Their offer is based on 30 days + stay; recalculated its nearly 2. 300 THB per day / including taxes (and no pre-paid needed).

And, obvious, totally gf

Keyed in the same 4 day stay for each offer and the total for all 4 nights was exactly the same.

I wish to recommend President Solitaire aon Soi 11, this is a jewel in Sukhmvit area located in a edge of the Soi 11 and offers really large Jacuzzi Suites at approx 3000++ THB which is really good, I stayed there for last 2 visits and was very GF and had problem taking 3 girls with me.

Spent 1 week in Bangkok at the Admiral Premier last month, but could not access the forum since their proxy is blocking everything with the word "sex". LOL.

Anyway, it is a rather pleasant and well kept hotel, with a serviceable team which is the norm in Thailand.

Pool is on rooftop, whichis always nice, and they have all the standard stuff: restaurant (open till 10.30 PM) , gym, laundry etc.

Of course it was right at the Asoke / Sukhumvit intersection which was a protest site at the time, but I did not feel threatened in any way.

Distance walking:

- Soi Cowboy: 2 mins.

- G-Club Pegasus: 1 min (didn't go)

- Soi 33 / Soi 24: 10 mins.

- BTS Sukhumvit or MRT Asoke, Terminal 21 mall: 5 mins.

I do not know if it is GFriendly or not, but I think at some point 1 guy ordered room service (yeah, that kind of room service) , the 2 girls were waiting in the lobby and it seemed fine.

The "regular" massage shop which is located to the left of the hotel (near Glow club. Another place that might be of interest) will also offer services depending on your masseuse.

Absolutely first class hospitality, no problemo so far as cheekos are concerned.

It's easy to get a top up SIM card at airport with a suitable data component. Then in a smart phone can use personal hotspot feature to get 3G Internet to your notebook com faster than many hotels provide. ISG not blocked that way.

Any idea when they started blocking ISG or word with sex in it. I was there last Sept and it was working fine. Maybe someone can verify it isn't working now

Once inserted in a computer it establishes a secure connection to its nearest proxy server (Singapore, USA, etc.). Your ISP can see activity on the connection but cannot see what it is, therefore no ability to censor. An additional feature is it leaves no trace of your activity on the computer. Relatively cheap solution considering the additional security.

Insert into computer:

Enter password.

Browser launches on VPN connection.

Go where you want.

I am flying into BKK, Suvarnabhumi Airport, and need to a Hotel to stay about 12 hours to line up with a connecting flight. I am flying with family members so there be no chance to do anything but sleep. I just need to get some sleep for my next days connection. I know the Airport has the Novotel at the airport but the cost is around $125 per night. If anyone can recommend a Hotel that is near the airport, that has a shuttle that runs late at night and that's about 2 1/2 to 3 stars it would be appreciated. I just need something that's clean and convenient and hopefully can understand basic English.

Going to town means 30/40' trip and same to BKK, depending of course on time of day / night.

That means you will have to add some 6/800 baht for taxi to your costs, unless you travel by train+ BTS and walk to your hotel.

Look up the Thongta Resort and Spa web site. They are just 15 minutes from the airport, has a regular shuttle and is priced at around $40. 00 when I last used them for an early morning connection to KK. Rooms are very decent with all amenities and staff is friendly and speaks english. Good place for the family with nothing much sleazy in the surrounding Latkrabang area. Drop a post how the stay was so others can tag the hotel for the future short stays.

Can't remember the details, but I can tell you that he found the location on Agoda. Just a few minutes away and very reasonable cost.
