It's surprising that u didn't finalized the price before heading to room. I'v picked girls from the beach rd for 400 to 700, depends on looks and ages. Sometimes 1000 from the Walking Street also.

Mrpurpler, I'm a devout and notorious Cheap Charlie, but for an extra six bucks, I think I would have made her happy.

For a couple of reasons. First, she will certainly try to poison your relationships with other beach road girls. You will still be able to pull, of course, but you will be labled as "bad" and it is likely to affect your future activities in a negative manner.

Second, some of these girls are crazy and have nothing to lose, or have some very wicked friends. And I mean truly evil, worse than anything most of us can imagine. I've met a few of these psycho's and they are extremely scary people. The science of cruelty and revenge in Asia is a highly developed art.

It isn't really likely, but if you are unlucky, you truly could have a large bottle of Singha broken over your head as you sit sipping a pina colada at your favorite watering hole. Or wake up in intensive care and not have a clue how you got there. Or worse.

Be careful out there. ALWAYS agree to a price in advance.

Had a buddy who had a similar problem, the girl waited outside of the hotel and one night. You guessed it, bottle of Leo across the head. Ended up costing him 10,000 baht for medical treatment.

My recent trip was my first to Pattaya. I did several Beach Road girls and I didn't mention negotiate price at all. I didn't want to come off as a newbie and none of them brought up price either. Typically I just handed them 500 and they said "thanks" and left. A couple were really good and I gave them one or two hundred more. The last one, right before I was getting my bus to leave, asked for 1000 after. I was kind of surprised but she was really good and did everything I asked and I had about 800 in my wallet (the rest was in the safe) so I handed her that. I didn't want to open the safe so I told her I had to cash a travelers check when I got to Bangkok so that was all the cash I had. She was happy with it. I probably would have given her a good tip anyway, but it did bug me that she asked for 1000.

I think next time I go I will set the price up front, it does sound like a better idea. It did seem like they all said they were from Isaan too.

The "going rate on Beach Road is 500B, but increasingly the premium girl: cute 18-23 slim who following various police clamp downs are much more difficult to find then in previous years are holding out for premium rates of 600-800B short time (one shot). Some of the cutest girls are not 18 yet or dont have valid ID s allowing them to go to the better hotels, they will typically be keen to go for 500B. The plumpsters are generally servicing the Indian/Pakistani/Iraqi/Iranian market who will often haggle for 300-400B or 2 guys for 600B type deals. Most of the girls are OK with a bit of bartering. You need to be clear up front what you expect eg blow job without condom + fuck with condom (standard), anything additional is likely to require a tip.

In a sign of the times you typcally wont see the Chinese guys go anywhere near the Beach raod girls, they will BF perfect little 18-21 year old cuties from the big walking street gogos probably paying 2000-3000 in total

Sorry the only part of my post that was serious was the first sentence, basically that if you don't set the price beforehand, you lose your bargaining power and are at the mercy of her pressure tactics, like in this case. Just there's a good chance you'll have a bad scene afterwards (one of their main tactics in these situations), which for me at least kind of ruins the enjoyment of the whole thing.

But the rest of my post was meant to be silly/absurd. I should have put a smiley winky face after it. Of course she can't track you down -- only way she probably would be able to do that would be if you stayed in the same hotel you took her to. And even then, I highly doubt she's gonna f%@#! with you over 200 baht.

Still, if it was me, I would've just paid her the 200 or else agreed to meet her in the middle at 600, as long as she was willing to. I would've just kicked myself for not setting the price before hand. I still do that sometimes, by the way, but if a girl does pull that tactic afterward, then I blame myself for not controlling it better.

Hey I'm Chinese and I go down to Beach Rd. all the time and stick to the prices just like the rest of you guys! Heh Heh! I sit and watch and steak out my pray / tell them what I want and where to go... if they go for it... and provide what has been agree to and go beyond the call of duty... they get a extra tip. I tell them up front everything... they decide... if not.... more fishes in the sea to fry! Don't get mad just move on... attitude is important on both sides.

Amateur journalism attempt to counter those negative views so many people including Maxim Magazine have of Pattaya. They certainly didn’t do the best job of presenting their case nor did they use the most persuasive communicators to enhance their counter points however; there are some important messages in this series once you get pass the self-promotion and the un-necessary obvious points. Experienced Thai Historian probably won’t learn anything from this one and while it’s unlikely to change anyone’s view of the place, it does offer some good tips for novice travelers.

Last night figure midnight had perhaps the most beautiful gal I ever had. And I've been doing this now over a decade. Like MY GAUD. Saw her and had to have her. I am staying in a furnished studio at Jomtien Beach Condominium. I paid 50k for 6 months, 8k deposit. t is small and simple, but I am pleased with it so far. It is about a 30 minutes baht bus ride to Walking Street.

My landlord owns several condos at Jomtien Beach Condominium that he rents. He also arranges rentals from other property owners, I think he charges them a finder's fee, so that would be more expensive for you then dealing directly with property owners. As a newb I got some questions wich I couldn't find anywhere else, for my purposes (mongering).

I am planning to visit Koh chang this summer, I was wondering if I should bring my own female company from Pattaya or just find one on the island.

I know its personal preference, but what do you guys think?
