First you're in West Europe, where the HIV rate is 1/500 or even lower. Second, the odds of HIV during vaginal intercourse for a guy is something like 0. 02% or even lower also.

Yes, but one thing that doesn't show up in those studies is the absorption time. For all STDs that require absorption into the bloodstream (especially HIV) there has to be enough time for absorption before going to the bathroom and washing / showering eliminates the possibility of absorption. The absorption time involving a penis is quite long. The straight guys who get HIV almost always were in relationships where they rolled over and went to sleep after unprotected vaginal intercourse, leaving plenty of absorption time. And not surprisingly, uncircumcised men have higher (although it is still a very, very small chance) of getting HIV from unprotected vaginal intercourse. The truth is that even guys who wear condoms religiously get some tiny amount of vaginal fluid on their penis during a GFE session if either party fingers the girls and either party then does a handjob without washing. The last time I checked, you need to wait 3 weeks for an HIV test to yield an accurate result. It used to be 6 months.

I would wait until I got home. This really is a just in case precaution. The probability is very low. It just isn't a near zero kind of low.

I think some people on these forums downplay these risks too much, and kid themselves quite a lot. But that said, to catch an STI 1) your partner must have it, which is where demonstrating care and precautions matters a lot 2) you need to be either a little or a lot unlucky.
