I am a paying member of Tinder in Thailand. So far it has proven to be a gigantic ripoff. I texted her back to say that I don't pay BF and lets meet for a drink elsewhere. Naturally, I never heard back. The other problem with Tinder is it contains an inordinate amount of LB's. Maybe other BM's have had success but so far it has been a dud for me.

Hooked up with some really cute (petite and with some curves) girls. Maybe I was just lucky, but I will give it a new try on my next trip in May or June. Wish a happy hunting.

A few years back Badoo and Tinder were pretty good, even WeChat was reasonably good. But I believe all these have gone down the drain now. That has been my personal experience.

The photos and video clips of his Matches looked really nice and they did not appear to be ladyboys. He had a couple of STs with 2 of them at 1500 baht each and he says they turned out fine. For perspective, he is a nice guy who looks older than me (65), bald and overweight.

So far in my first couple of days right swiping hundreds of likely nearby prospects I have gotten exactly 1 Match who, just as it was when I first tried this damn thing a couple of years ago, appears more like a ladyboy the closer I scrutinize her/his photo and sent even more signals for it in our brief Line chat. LOL.

Good luck, bad luck, I have no idea. If Tinder is the same for me as the more traditional dating sites, the pattern for me is I get little or no good results when I click Interested first. Or in the case of Tinder when I right swipe first. Virtually all of my good experiences happen when the girl has clicked Interested in me first.

I see I have 25 Likes on Tinder now. But since all but 1 of them were right swipes of my photo and profile without me right swiping theirs as well for a Match, I can't view them without becoming a paid Premium member. And since I mostly only have good experiences with online meet ups who click on me first I guess I will have to pony up a Premium fee some day to satisfy my curiousity. Probably 23 of them are ladyboys.

Tinder works fine for me for free. I just aimlessly swipe, and something always surfaces.

With years of fun reading and following things at this site maybe its time for me to contribute a bit again. Just finished a total of 7-8 days of work and pleasure in Bangkok. It was my first ever visit to Thailand. During a transit I created a profile at TC, paid the feed, uploaded a decent picture and waited. Nothing happened of course. I started writing women in Bangkok ages 18-29. A nice short polite message. To my very big surprise 1 in 5 would probably answer. I typically suggested right away that we continued talking at an app called LINE which seems to be the thing here. The score: I had sex with 5 woman including af 25 year old virgin. The rest was aged 19, 22, 29 and around 30 (can't remember). I should add that I look late 40 but few years older (wrote 49 in profile as there seem to be a psychological barrier around 50). Only one of these women were paid money. She told me that she previously had been together two days with a European gentleman who had given her 5000 baht as a parting gift. She never asked anything though and I gave her 1000 baht in the morning. She looked happy and was happy to come back. None of these woman seemed like pros or even semi-pro. None of these women were really stunners or classic Thai beauties. I choose to write those with funny ugly glasses, chubby or not smiling. Thinking they probably did not get a lot of attention. Well, later glasses got off and smiles were big.

The Tinder premium plan is somewhat worthless though they charge 19.99 per month, which does not allow you to view woman who send you 'likes'. Instead, tinder wants you to buy the Gold membership, which does allow this feature. This would be an additional $10 per month. I recommend googling tinder to find out the subtle distinction between these payment categories. In One article I read, the owner of a Tinder could not even justify buying the premium package.

The cost is pretty trivial to me by comparison to even a single trip out to a gogo or whatever, so if I score out of it even once a month I'm ahead. There are a couple of benefits of gold. One is that you get daily "super likes". As far as I can tell (I'm not 100% sure) when you super like someone she can see it without having to match with you. So it has a much better chance of response. You get five of them a day, and I definitely don't use them all. The other advantage is "boosts". Boosts push you up to the first profile in people's phones for half an hour. You get one a month. I clicked on the button not knowing what it did, and it resulted in a fucking flood of likes. And more than a few matches.

As for who likes you. In my experience they're rarely interesting. Only about 1/10 is worth a second look. Most of them are overweight, unattractive local women looking for a husband. Only occasionally are they cute. But also only occasionally are they LBs. Not that I'm saying you can always tell, but most LBs on there seem to be open about it and most of the others I'm pretty confident. I've admittedly also seen a few that didn't say so but I'd bet money there's some junk in their trunks. Still, I have made a reasonable number of matches from Tinder, a few conversations, and even a couple of dates.

If you're looking for Tinder as free sex being flung around, you're not going to find it. If you're looking for a bit of NSA fun with a cute local. You're probably not going to find that either. Almost all the women on there are looking for serious relationships. Your success is going to vary a lot depending on you. If you're old and crusty it's not going to work for you. Sorry. If you're looking for hookers you'll find plenty of those. Though tbh the prices are not as cheap as they should be, I've asked. What I'm looking for myself is a pleasant and long-term mutually beneficial arrangement with a nice young woman. That seems like a more likely find here.

I first used it about seven years ago, I have had periods of paid-for membership and periods of free membership and I'll admit that I knocked off a few years from my real age (I was in my late 50's when I first used it and set my age to 45). The main reason I have just about given up on it is because I am bored with it!

It's a numbers game, for every 200 messages I sent out (nothing complicated, 'Hi, nice to meet you, my name is x, what's your name?' or similar) I would get about 40 replies. My target group were 18 to 23 year-olds, but sometimes I changed my search settings to 23 to 29 year olds. Of the 40 replies I received, I would then exchange a few more messages, about 10 or 15 would reply once or twice then stop. A few more would continue to reply but make excuses when I asked to meet them. I'm sure some of them were only using it to practice their English!
