oh my god! how is this even possbile? what happens to the women there? are they killed as babies? how is this even possible? maybe the population includes migrant worker from nearby countries (india, pakistan, bengladesh, sri lanka......) whom tend to be male. it's just my guess, i can't think of any other explaination. and if rich men can have 4 wifes, where does that leave the poor?

even after female baby/fetus killings, china still has 95 women per 100 men.

i did not see any middle easterners during my stay in minsk. i saw a grand total of 1 non white person (one black man). but i was only in city center.

Since you were there for mongering primarily, I am curious why you made no attempts to make any dyev contacts through the Iz-ruk-v-ruki gazetta. There were always one or 2 escort agencies numbers as well as some independents in the "Introductions" section. Its true that the quality was a problem, but there was always a possibility that you could meet one of their 'friends' who was hot and GFE.

Also surprised that your taxi driver didn't give you contacts for any agency or brothel.

Well, I simply didnt know about that magazine. I have tried the Makler in Moldova before with really limited sucess and my russian is quite weak on top of that. Its always good to have a P4P girl when the freebies are not around. And that happens!

I have been to Minsk before, some 3 years ago and stayed at the Yubinaya. At the time, the cafeteria would be visited by girls in the late evening (some looking like big men but some good) who would be working. It was fun - a hotel with full service as you may say. But the rooms were small and the hotel hostile to girls that they had not approved of "working" there.

Question: What are the good places to stay in Minsk in August - prices - and their attitude towards invited guests - and what about apartments?

I can't tell you about the hotel situation as I always stay in apartments. There are some very cheap apartments to be had in the city, from $20 upwards. However you need some Russian skills. The way to find them is to buy the local property magazine, it is called "Nedvizhimost". Inside are many apartments with photos. $20 does not get you much, a studio apartment with soviet decor and not in the centre. $35 should get you a 2 room apartment. The owners rent these mostly to local punters so have no worries about taking your little devochka back for some slap and tickle. If you do not speak Russian get your taxi driver to arrange it and give him $10 for his help.

These are not aimed at tourists so do not expect central location and internet but there are some great bargains out there.
