After spending almost 3 weeks in Pattaya recently, (Jan 19th. Feb 6th) I can verify that the selection of Foreign Sexworkers is poor, and due to the low overall quality I stuck with the Thai women.

Got into BKK in the late afternoon.

I was looking forward to a night of debauchery, only to find that my fellow punters were delayed and that it was Buddah day. So while restaurants were open and a beer was possible, anything harder or hardier was on hold for another day.

Wound up walking around between Soi 18 up to Nana plaza. The requisite lady boy parade was around and somewhat aggressive. Slow business night I guess. Then again, some of them REALLY make an effort to look feminine. One pair in particular was 5'9" and 5'11". Damn that height just gives them away, despite the long shapely legs. (did I mention they really worked hard at it?)

The chorus of Thai ladies were congregating outside of the Thermae and in front of the Nana disco.

A few conversations but not a lot of progress. The Taxi. Tuk Tuk touts were working the soapy massage angle and getting pushy about handing out flyers.

One of the things I noticed around Soi 2-4 was the abundance of African women. Obviously working. A few looked hardened and a few more strung out. Reputedly from Kenya and Nigeria but not all that attractive if one's objective is a LBFM experience. Where B stands for BROWN.

One word of caution. It seems while the ladies were just hanging loose, some rather sinister looking blokes of the same persuasion were not far nursing beers and looking over the flock.

Personally, I have not partaken in these foreign sex workers efforts, some basic street smarts come in to question:

(1) If there is a hassle with a Thai, the locals have ways of finding and correcting what ever the hassle is.

(2) The worst rip off stories are usually foreign on foreign here in the LOS. I call it the I trusted someone who looked like me and spoke my language trap.

(3) The African "pimps" if that's what they were, seemed a little too intent on the flock and a simple service may become more trouble than it's worth.
