I've been to the Grace Hotel coffee shop once, many moons ago. I was not at all impressed with the talent on offer.

While the Grace is predominantly an Arab playground, the old Diplomat was dominated by Indians/Pakis, followed by Arabs, with few others (Russian, Asian, Western, African). Some nights it was 90% Indians/Pakis! While I'm not fond of Arabs, they are generally well behaved. But the Indians/Pakis are a real pest.

Sky Club: Hookers chased by Indians/Pakis (60%), Arabs (30%) & others (10%)

Juliano: Hookers chased by Uzbeks (80%), Turks/Arabs (15%) & others (5%)

Fabrique: Non-pros

Whilst there is only one India and Pakistan with more or less the same looks, I think at the last count there are 22 different Arab countries from North Africa to the Gulf in the Middle East. Different colors, shapes, height, even Cultures.

I have met many Arab Americans in the US who were born in the Middle East and a lot of them were white with blonde hair and blue eyes. Same in Brazil.

I think the Arabs in Tashkent and at Grace hotel must hail from The Gulf Arab Countries. The cheap darker types you don't encounter in Ski destinations in Europe or in the South Of France in the summer.

That said, I agree that CM2 was a great and fun place. Was. I've spended dozens over dozens of nights there (even had a member card which gave 20% off on bottles). It was a fun fun place. The blond guy (who owned a Harley) who was manager at CM2 is now Food & Beverage manager at Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya BTW.

I'm addmittedly not as well-travel as you are (wink) but I'd rate CM2 at third position in the best pick-up clubs I've ever been to, number one being JJs in Jakarta (the best hoe venue on the planet in the history of mankind IMO) , and number two Love Story in Sao Paulo. Admittedly, Diplomat, despite the fact that SOME nights were really really great, isn't in my top five.

As usual, to each its own. It made that remark just to point out that Tashkent, being the fourth largest city in FSU, is crawling with available chicks. I feel there's one thing I need to add to my report.

I like variety, and travel all over the world. My main hunting grounds are SE Asia & Africa. Tashkent was judged by international standards, and obviously couldn't compete with the likes of AC or Nairobi, in terms of price, service level or rock star factor.

White meat traditionally fetches the highest prices for the worst level of service. So despite its many shortcomings, Tashkent may still be one of the top destinations in the world, if you happen to have a fetish for white women.

I agree with you, I don't know why Loso is complaining about Tashkent, he scored nearly every other night at reasonable prices compared to Kiev.

BTW we (Family) always hit Bangkok on the way to somewhere else. Extended stopovers. And I try to land in BKK during Ramadam or whatever they call it. You know the F asting thing. .

There were no Arabs, Indians, Pakistanis in any visible numbers at the time.

But to avoid them in CM2 don't go there in high season.

During Ramadam, late April first half of May is great at Cm2 and BKK.

The price the Uzbek girl wanted 5000 bht (US$150) was for few hours. For me that's LT. I am sure Gulf Arabs, Indians / Pakis get asked much more.

I think I have to put any plans of a Stopover in Tashkent on the way to the Far East on the back-burner until such time when the Fucking Mullahs of Iran get sorted out.

Watching the news on areas near Iran and close to Uzbekistan doesn't sound very inviting to be in that part of the world for the next 6 to 9 months.
