hi guys I would just like to say. It is very nice of you all to ad info on a site like this. I just wish I would of found this site sooner. I had already booked my flight to medellin on June 7 and I am staying at the mansion. But I was only travelling there hoping to meet a nice girl for a relationship. But after finding this site and reading for several hours, I have come to the conclusion since I don't speak spanish at all and also with the way that it sounds the girls are only there looking for money (working girls). I believe I have made a mistake in my choice of where to travel. Oh well I can usually have a good time anywhere doing anything, so I guess itll just be a trip filled with rain and wobbly pops. I wish I would of known more of these facts and the info on the mansion before I booked my flight. Oh well take care I'll fill you in on how it goes. And if you don't here back from me than youll know it didnt go very well!

You did not make the wrong choice. One of the perks of staying at he mansion is that you get one date per day with a girl of your choice from their Colombianloveconection site. These girls are non-pros and looking for serious relationships. You might want to do your homework on the site now and have a list of girls that your interested in. Good luck!

Thank you for the advice. You guys are very helpfull. Any and all advice is very much appreciated. They are going to set me up with someone for spanish lessons at the mansion. I realize it takes a while to learn a new language but as long as I can compliment a lady and order a beer I'll be more than happy. I was thinking of signing up and taking spanish lessons on one of those online sites where you have a teacher one on one. But I think the best way to learn a second language is when you around people that speak the language on a regular basis and where I live there is very few spanish speaking people. The times I have travelled to latin countrys I've really enjoyed the way spanish people are so laid back and seem to always be happy and so very nice. Thats why I have been in love with spanish speaking and looking women all my life and I just got out of a long relationship a few months ago and have been dating a few women, but I find my self getting tired of the women in a america with the wild mood swings and demanding everything. I guess thats why they say" why does every bride have a smile on her face"? Because she knows shell never have to give head.

If I am not wrong, there aren't any meters in the cabs and I would have to negotiate a rate before getting in a cab. If that is true, then I got 2 problems.

(1) My first solo time to cartegena and I don't speak spanish.

(2) How would I negotiate if I don't know how much is reasonable. (Like going to LDV etc...)

Is there a way other then hiring a guide services? if No, then pls recommend guide services. I have heard horrible stories both of getting ripped off by cabies and guide services. Plz suggest.

Has anybody ever been to the San Andres Island? If you have, how is the action. I did a google search of the place and look at the Image and section and the first I got was a web page with these beauties on it.
I read some past post and it seems to say that one should bring their own candy from the Columbian Mainland. Is this true? I have a sweet piece of candy and she wants to take me here? Should I go with her or should I go by myself.
