You need to ask around. You can actually get ok pricing at the airport, 2,500+ or ask around in the city. I had a firm offer from a lady outside the Masalud studio.

Thanks to Pajama Sam for his comments, others have voiced good comments abt those studios. As to the exchange rate, I have questions about their reality. The exchange rate here has been hovering between 2400 -2500 Bs/USD for a week now. 3000 is out of the question. Caveat Emptor

Angelus has been described here as an expensive club but never any mention of a 150 thousand B cover charge. I'm sorry to come across as a Doubting Thomas but could this have been rather their consumo minimo?

was there last night . no cover charge at all. drinks were about $8.
possibly 100 girls or more, i lost count at 75 .
club fantasy also has no cover but is much smaller in size but better in quality.
by the way the marriott hotel is fantastic. ( $99 a night ) i love a great hotel and this is 5 star all the way. separate shower and tub, all marble. free computer high speed. very comfortable beds. very girl friendly and like the loisuites they are busy booking my afternoon sessions ( 3 per day ). its become a challenge for some at the front desk to get my appt's made asap. real busy beavers. i love that. the taxi system is a little fucked up here. prices all over the map.

The going rate over at least the last 3 months in the "mercado libre" has consistently been between 2,450 and 2,600 Bolivares per US$1. This price fluctuates daily within this range and will depend on who you can get to do a currency exchange for you. I have had success changing currency with an owner of a travel agency here in Caracas. Remember that ripoffs are definitely possible when exchanging currency, so be careful and make sure to do it with someone with verifiable credentials (such as a business owner).

Drinks were cheaper then Angelos. The place is 1/8 the size. I would say there were more girls I would take out. $100 was the price I was quoted. Thats the price that I am quoted round the world. I had to pass since I have been booking sexycaracas girls at 1 am and 3 am each night I am here. So I only go to the clubs from 11:00 to 12:30 to work up my energy for my night sessions.

Sorry I could not be of any more help regarding the clubs but with the massage places and escorts I have been fully booked.

For me it takes time to know how to work the clubs especially here. I'm a bit slow as you can see.
What makes this town interesting is the 5 hour flight and very fast customs. I have never seen anything so easy, but what do I know. There is absolutely no "cover fee" at any of these places in Caracas. If someone told you this, it was a lie.

Nice catch on the small "American Bar" in the same building. You can sometimes stumble across some very nice girls there at one half the Angelus price and the atmosphere it much more laid back. I personally hate Angelus with a passion. Saxo's and Magnifique are much better though both suffer from the same "clip joint" mentality.

a $99 rate at the Marriot is fantastic. A couple of years ago, the stupid gringo rate was $140, while Venezuelan businessmen were paying $108.

Nonetheless, as much as I love the hotel and its location, I'd only stay there if someone ELSE were picking up the tab or unless I won a very very very large lottery.

starfe, yes $100 tends to be "the gringo price" the world over.. (even in places where actual prices are a fifth to a third of that amount in local currency)

bottom line in Caracas, is that considering that the dollar is worth 2500bolos more or less, you should almost never pay more than fifty. Fifty bucks is the very upper end of what most girls themselves will charge.. and the establishment tries to hit you up for the other fifty.

If I lived by you're rules I would never eat out let alone get laid. Probably sleep under a bridge. Oh and by the way I spent 45,000 on some cockroach eating shellfish the other night. If you weighed 287 lbs, were only 5'4" you would have to pay those prices also. Although some women find me a real catch if they can only lift me on to the bed. You should try sometime hopping on to a massage table with a waist size 54 or even better, try lifting you're feet up!!!

Checked out both places Thursday night at 2AM. Fantasy had about a dozen girls, none above a 5 and I am engaging in Buchanan induced generosity. There were a few girls hanging out with a few drunk and bored looking guys and a girl was dancing in the back. Nothing to write home about so I left and went to Angelus down the same basement. The situation there was different, but the same. It was packed with over 100 clients and probably 50+ girls. Although it was full and I walked it from end to end a few times, I did not find a single girl that I would consider attractive. Most were very ugly, fat or skinny. Perhaps it was the hour and the most attractive girls had already been taken out, but I certainly found it disappointing.

A note: no cover or entry charge at either place, although I have to mention that as a local I know how to get along with the doormen and bouncers. Better luck next time!

Just to let my fellow mongers know that jewels are found by those that seek them.
