*** TALLINN *** (written August 20, 2004 by your correspondent, Neurosynth)
Here is a report on my recent visit to Tallinn Estonia. I've gotten most of this info from the web, but bring it together here in one place. It's the post I wish I could have found, but didn't, before going to Tallinn.
If someone wants to take this post and turn it into a more accurate FAQ by correcting what is wrong and keeping it up to date please do so!!
Initially I found information about Tallinn to be encouraging....
"Very inexpensive! Pretty Nordic and Russian looking girls! Don't even bother to go commercial because the local girls will gladly bed you with passion once you get a couple drinks in them!"
But then I found many of the details to be sketchy and/or wrong or out of date.
Ultimately I found a couple reliable places a little less expensive than the Amsterdam RLD but lower in quality and (obviously) number. Those are reported on below, along with a bunch of other useful info.
However please note...I was only there for 2 days!!!
I suspect that if one had time to check out the apartment places more fully some real bargain beauties could be found. As for the local non-working girls...they are indeed pretty and seem to like their drink...but I didn't see any indication that they are any "looser" than girls you might find at any random "first world" city bar.
*** Money ***
The Estonian Crown (EEK) is the currency, but I understand the Euro is on the way. I have no doubt this will result in higher prices. Here are today's (20.08.04) exchange rates -
1 US Dollar = 12.68645 Estonian Kroon
1 Estonian Kroon (EEK) = 0.07882 US Dollar (USD)
1 Euro = 15.65000 Estonian Kroon
1 Estonian Kroon (EEK) = 0.06390 Euro (EUR)
And some practical rules of thumb, rounded up, that are easier to remember and calculate with -
1000 EEK = $80 = 65€ $100 = 1300 EEK 100€ = 1600 EEK
** Geography ***
For the purposes of commercial sex there are 3 areas. The City Center where all the tall downtown buildings and better hotels are, the Old Town which is the medieval walled city interestingly preserved, and the outlying areas...i.e. everywhere else.
If you are not afraid to use a map (the streets are *not* on a grid system at all) and can walk for 15 minutes several times a day you will be able to walk everywhere within the City Center and Old Town. You can also usually find cabs in the City Center and have them wait (for a reasonable fee) if you go far afield. There are also trams, but I didn't bother to figure them out.
I know of no prostitution in the Old Town, but there are some strip clubs which, from everything I've read, are not worth the effort or money. Don't bother, I am told, because they are both tame and expensive (relative to the local (somewhat poor) economy).
In the City Center there are 3 major types of commercial sex services. There are at least 2 well organized brothels masked as clubs. I report on the two I went to later in this report. The clubs often have a bar and a sauna...and perhaps bedrooms...with anywhere from a handful to a dozen or more girls working at a time. There are also apartment run businesses with 1 to 3 or more girls. Finally there are a couple or three legitimate nightclubs that working girls supposedly cruise for johns wanting to take them back to the hotel. If choosing randomly the best girls are supposedly cruising the clubs, then at the brothel clubs, and the least attractive girls in the apartments.
But there is supposedly large variation and overlap. The clubs and cruising girls tend to be more expensive than the apartment girls. For the former expect to pay a total of at least 1000 EEK and perhaps as much as 1500 EEK or more. These charges might include buying the girl a mandatory expensive drink, a cover charge, and so on. The apartment girls might be available for 400 to 700 EEK.
In the outlying areas there are both club brothels and apartment businesses, or so I've read. I've also read that a number of these have been closed in the last year. I stayed in the City Center.
To get to these places you have 3 choices. Get an address, look it up on a map, and walk there, OR get in a cab and give him the address OR ask to be brought to "a good place". If you do the latter note that the driver will no doubt bring you to the place that gives him the largest kickback, and oh by the way they will charge *you* for that kickback. So what would have been a 600 EEK session might turn into a 1200 EEK session. If you walk to a place and the price seems steep, remind them that you walked there and did not take a taxi.
The easiest way to find places on your own is to use a computer and a physical paper map. First locate the address via maporama.com and then mark it on the physical paper map. You can then get all your targets on a real map, and not carry around a bunch of little printouts.
Note that addresses are often given in a format something like "Lembitu 7/23". In America we would note this as "7 Lembitu st., Apt #23". Maporama will want you to search for "7 Lembitu". Addresses tend to be building numbers rather than abstract coordinates with small numbers closer to the City Center.
I myself just made a map and walked everywhere. Not a problem if the address isn't in an outlying area.

SPECIAL IMPORTANT NOTE - I read mixed reports that a change in the local laws will result in other closings as of Sept. 2004 Where possible call ahead, but also not that prostitution will not be admitted to over the phone. Sorry, but that's the way it is. When I called Tuukri 26 (below) and asked "how many girls do you have?" the response was "I am sorry sir, we are a hostel". But they were happy to note they were open 24 hours a day.

Tuukri 26 is on the edge of the City Center and quite walkable. It appears to be a hostel with a little bar/club on the front, but in reality it is a brothel. I arrived there in the early afternoon on a early weekday, so as expected it was a bit slow. I paid 50 EEK for entry and then 40 EEK for a coke and then sat on a couch in the bar. There were a number of couches as well as bar stools around the bar. There were 3 or 4 girls who appeared to be working although they never approached me or even really looked my way. Another fellow on another couch seemed as bored as everyone else. So far it was not a terribly exciting experience. The girls were late 20's I'd say, but quite average looking ethnic Russians. After about 15 minutes a tall thin girl with long blond hair quickly walked into the bar, spoke to one of the other girls for a moment, and then rushed back out again. I didn't get a very good look at her but concluded she might be the only other girl working and the best of the lot.
After waiting to see see if she would return for another 10 minutes or so I spoke to the woman who appeared to be the bartender/housemother. She immediately asked "what kind of girl would you like" and I mentioned the one who had swept through. She thought for a minute and then realized who I meant. I am guessing the girl wasn't working at the moment, but she went to fetch her anyway.
A few minutes later the girl appeared and came directly to me on the couch. Turned out her name was Eleni and while her figure was indeed lithe and attractive her face was rather average and her manner flat, bored, and perhaps even a bit depressed. She spoke some English and said she was just tired. After some rather nothing chit chat I asked her about a room, and she responded by saying she would like a drink.
I wanted to avoid an expensive drink scam. It's not so much about the money as my wanting her to know that I wasn't a rube, that I knew the game, and expected a quality experience. This apparently threw her from her normal game, she skipped over the champaign request. I told her I'd rather just give her the money...she hesitated but said she really did want a drink and not the money. So I got a price quote from her for the room
(700 EEK) and the drink (vodka and orange juice for 200 EEK) and decided to go with it. Ultimately just under 1000 EEK or about $80 for the entire visit.
She got a bit more friendly and fun once the deal was on, and we both went upstairs and took a shower in the bathroom attached to her room. I spent a bit of time talking with her trying to get her to cheer up and get comfortable with me. Tried out my meager Russian language skills to little avail.
Undressed her body was indeed quite attractive with shapely B cup breasts with very pointy and responsive nipples. It seemed clear that everything was going to be covered, and her initial BJ was too fast and too short. I got her to slow down and take some time. I think these girls learn that some guys will let them get them off as quickly as possible...but some will not. You just have to make them understand that you are not going to be a quick turnover kind of guy.
From that point on she was a compliant but not terribly passionate sex partner. She declined any mouth to mouth kissing, but gave and accepted body kissing and indeed invited me to apply DATY. Able now to set the pace, I proceeded with some fairly standard missionary and then doggie-style fucking, and then finished with some vigorous missionary pounding.
Somehow I knew there wouldn't be another round, and in fact there was really only enough time left to shower again, visit a little more, and then leave. She seemed to appreciate a short massage before we got up, but again her response was flat.
All in all I'd do it again. There is no way I could have an hour session with a girl of her age and looks for $80 in most other cities. But I'd have gladly paid more for some real enthusiasm.

Around 10 pm the next night I made my way to the Red Club. On the outside there is a RC logo and the quality of construction of the club overall is of higher quality. It seems like a real, if small, club, and it seems obvious to me that it is mob owned and operated. It's a nice clean decorated place though, and I never felt intimidated.
I don't recall if i paid an entry fee...if so it was minimal...and I made my way directly to the bar and paid 100 EEK for a 85 EEK coke. I then scanned the couches of the small dark bar room. There were perhaps 8 girls sitting mostly together. I was never approached, although one of the younger fetching blond girls with a pleasingly fleshy (not fat) body and a wonderfully round Russian eyes gave me several looks. It looked a bit practiced to me, and from my experience with Amsterdam window girls I know that some develop a knockout glance...and then don't at all deliver once you get in the room. I feared she was one of those and having learned that the little voice in my head is seldom wrong I passed on her.
Across the room was the only girl sitting alone. This turned out to be Irina, an ethnic Russian Estonian with long red hair and a tall womanly (not fat, not skinny girlish) figure. She seemed to send out a confident vibe and I found her Russian-going-on-Nordic features...killer cheek bones, ice blue eyes, small but shapely and pointy nose and chin...a big turn on.
So I made my way to her. She was friendly and amusing but totally professional. I never thought we had any real connection, but then I am experienced and cynical in these matters...others might be fooled. But she was fun and pleasant and after a bit of chit chat I opted to skip the sauna and take a room with her for an hour. The total cost was 1300 EEK or about $100. I was to pay 300 EEK to the house and 1000 EEK to her. I now wonder if I had mentioned that I walked rather than taking a cab if I would have been charged less, but still $100/hr seemed like a bargain to me.
Unfortunately Irina had more limits than Eleni. I suppose I could have found this out beforehand had I interviewed her a bit more. No DATY. No fingers in the pussy. On the other hand her CBJ and intercourse were more spirited. It was an act, but it was a good act, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Afterwards she told me how terrible the economy was, how there was no prostitution under the Soviets because there was work for everyone, how the mob would be after her if she tried to work independently, and that she only got to keep 300 out of the 1000 EEK I had paid her. I didn't believe her of course, but tipped her an extra 200 EEK anyway. The extra $15 seemed to mean a lot more to her than I knew it did to me.
As I left that same blond girl gave me the eye one more time. That made me think that perhaps I had made a mistake. Most rip-off girls are not so persistent, and choose to go after then next guy instead. Then again there were no other guys there when I left. Oh well. There are always more *****s in the sea.
So i met this maria Tallinn that advertise here....
Was in Tallinn for a couple of days in business and was thinking that it would be nice to have a girl that came to the hotel instead of being at these clubs.
I have never liked to have sex at the clubs because it makes me nervous and it feels more comfortable to be on the hotelroom so i can relax and enjoy the meeting. So I contacted this maria and got her phonenumber and she agreed to meet me at the hotel.
She was 20min late to the meeting and called me and said it was much traffic so it took longer time than expected to come to the hotel.
I was relaxing in the hotel bar with a beer during the time so it did not really feel like along time to wait.

I already plan another trip to Tallinn now and will try to find some other nice girls there if I don't take one more meeting with maria, we will see what happens.
There is like a lottery to call on these advertisements if the girl is as nice as in the pic and description but this one really was!
