Second that. You just don't know what you are going to meet in there. There seems to be an increased level of moonlighting FL's in there, some of whom claim to be students (hmmm ..yeah) or even graduates.

Was in there over the weekend and met a 25 year old called Mavin. She claims to be a graduate who until she was laid off recently was employed as an accountant. Speaks good English and appears intelligent, so maybe this is the case. She has no kids and is really tiny with the archetypal spinners body. Short, bobbed hair, pleasant face but no stunner.

Very passionate and open to anything, and I mean anything;).

Interested if any one else have come across her? She claimed that it was her first time in LAC but I tend towards cynicism regarding anything told to me in there, particularly when they are so amenable to instruction and seemingly experienced.

I live deep in the boondocks of Centgral Mindanao now, and I think only fools hang out long time in manila. However, the world is full of fools.

LAC wasn't as crowded with females as I had expected. I was assuming that the recent spate of flooding would severely increase the number of females in manila who needed a shot of cash.

Many, many local men seen. Previous years, this was almost exclusively a foreigner's joint.

Immediately when you walk in, one must turn left or right to go further. Going right, I spotted a much older woman. Pimp working inside LA Cafe? Ownership must have changed.

Despite having come to Manila alone, I didn't feel the urge to actually take one of the girls, notwithstanding a few real beauties that were seen entering around 730pm. Just didn't want to bother with the whole alert-security-stance required when dealing with a stranger in one's room. Not to mention that the 1500 or so required, is what I spend to keep a 19-year old vagina standing by to service me, for 3 months at home.

I don't drink, and the music-selection and sound-system is quite mediocre. Left after just a few minutes.

I have been to EDSA at least 100 times in the last two years and sorry to say I am known in the bars:( Until last Sunday night, I have never been scammed. I went into the Pit Stop after playing poker for 6 hours in the airport casino and I sat down at the bar. I had a massage lady come up and ask if I wanted a massage and I never do partake of massages in bars, but I figured what the hell and told her go ahead. After 15 minutes of so-so massage I gave her a 100P and told her thanks. She kept massaging and I thought you can keep it up, but your tip is done. After 5 more minutes I told that was enough and she could stop and she put her hand up for a tip. I stood up and told her that I already tipped her and she said no you tipped her and pointed to a different massage girl. I asked who was in charge and she pointed to the mamasan. I went over to the mamasan and told her what happened and to my surprise, she gave me my drinks for free. I also went to the main manager in EDSA, Momma Shirley and she came in the bar and when I left she was chewing some ass:D

FYI, watch your check bin at EDSA. The Cotton Club and Space Girls now are giving double ladies drinks for 390P without asking:(

LAC is popular amongst local merchant seamen on shore leave. I have drank with groups of them a couple of times and they are good fun, very broadminded and after exactly the same thing as the rest of us.

I would have thought that the price of drink in there would have made it unattractive to locally based guys. They would pay less than a third of the LAC prices in a local KTV pick-up joint, where they could also 'sing' to their hearts content.

LAC turfed out most of the mamasans after a brawl, a couple of years ago, which greatly improved the place. Hope that they haven't reverted to the bad old days when some of the cuter girls were only available through a greedy intermediary. I think it was the East Asians who encouraged this development as they prefer obtaining their girls through a mamasan.

I was given a short tour of the federal prison at New Bilibid a few years ago. With a little help from outsiders they had created a university within the walls, wrote their own dramatic and musical production, and performed it for me and several other visitors. These guys were not all trannies, just cut from the same general fabric as all the Filipinos who never pass up a chance to sing Karaoke.

As for MJ's Thriller, there's a new youtube video from Cebu city jail of a medley of Queen songs. (Search for Queen medley) The TV who played the woman in the Thriller gig now has a beard. There are a few women prisoners performing again, and the men are in their usual orange jumpsuits. But wait'll you get a look at the costumes that the bearded TV and two of her pals are wearing. Obviously any medley from Queen is fitting for them, but it cracks me up thinking about what the scene must be like with the TVs rehearsing that production with all the presumably straight men.
