Haha, yeah thanks Biff and Dickhead! Yeah no doubt that place would be a good "testing ground" for developing "taxi skills"! I think they have the dreaded white taxis there, those ones that like to charge $10 or more. I believe you have to walk a bit to get a normal, yellow taxi from around there.
Yes certainly don't take the ones at the hotel, but even if you walk out on the street the taxi driver is going to see dollar signs.
On a side note the other day when arriving back in PTY I walked upstairs to arrivals and got a cab to the city for $20.

Although, he got in quite late at night. I got it for $15 last time I went into town from PTY, maybe two years ago, but the last couple of times I have flown in, it was from Costa Rica so I used Albrook, which is one FUCK of a lot easier, for those who have the opportunity. I believe Copa or maybe Taca just started flying into Albrook from a couple of different places so anyone coming in from elsewhere in LatAm should check that out.
Depends on what you want. Golden Times is a *****house, not a massage parlour although it bills itself as one. Relax massage in El Cangrejo is pretty good.
Biff,
Thanks buddy. I'm certainly looking for a good old fashioned *house! I'm looking forward to sampling the local delicacies.
Can I get some opinions about the Trump Hotel in Panama City? I went there on a weekday afternoon, last year, just to check it out. Seemed like a very nice place! But all I did was buy a coffee at Juan Valdez, and walk around the lower floors. And I checked out the 66th floor, which I thought was great. I'd be curious to hear more from others with more experience there than I have. Or any opinions about it, really, such as about the condos in the same building, etc, etc.
I wouldn't be asking about it, but something strange happened about a week ago. I was on a travel booking website, and for some reason, the Trump Hotel was showing cheap rates! When I say cheap, I mean $45-65 per night. I haven't seen these cheap rates appear since then, but on that day, I did make a reservation in August, at $59 per night, including taxes.
I'd love to get some opinions about this place. It does seem like a winner -- the poster RacShack wrote here last month, and said he had a great stay, and that there were some chicas on site. That sounds promising to me, since I think that the location is a bit remote. Also, I've read here that the hotel is chica-friendly, which was nice to read.
Thanks in advance for any information or opinions! And please let me know if I can answer anything.
If you were able to book a room at the trump for $59 including taxes per night by all means take it. The Hotel is very nice. I prefer the hardrock. A little bit more of a younger, hip crowd, more going on and I prefer the rooms but, certainly the trump is very nice and that price is outstanding. Yes just walk to the road and yellow taxis will pull down the cul de sac. It's literally 20 feet past the white more expensive taxis. Make sure to Enjoy the tub in the room with your new found lady for the night!!

AirBNB
Hello,
I will be visiting Panama later this month.
Has anyone had any experience renting an apt using airbnb.com in Panama. I am renting a 2 bedroom for me and my sidekick.
Would we have any problems getting any chicas to this type of apartments?
Thank you.
I plan on reporting back on my trip.

Yeah, I hadn't really thought about staying at Trump (or Hard Rock) but for some reason, Trump was cheap on Orbitz one day when I was checking prices and dates. I wish I had booked for later this month. Not only is it sooner rather than later, but the rates at the Trump were $45 per night in May. Weird, huh? Maybe it was a computer glitch, haha. I did go for the deal of $59 per night in August -- it is seven nights for $413, including taxes. But no refunds allowed, so I will not be cancelling this trip.
I was interested and surprised to see that last month, RacShack said that there were a few enterprising chicas working at the Trump Hotel. Good for them for branching out! That should save some time and effort, too, but I'll still try to hit all the hotspots.
I look forward to the taxi stuff, too. The airport taxi strategy upstairs sounds great, and I can't wait to try that. I'm also going to try to not get crushed by the yellow cab drivers to / from the Trump. I just know they are going to ask for 5 or 6 bucks to / from La Bocatorena or Habanos or Veneto or Ashe. But I will try to get them down to 3 or 4 bucks instead.

Venetto
Venetto was taken over by the government this week, I heard from good inside source, the owners walked away! True stuff!

Are there any other places like Venetto where the Colombians will move to?

Veneto
Venetto was taken over by the government this week, I heard from good inside source, the owners walked away! True stuff!
Here is the english translation of a news article:
The secretary of the Gaming Control Board (JCJ), Eric Rios, confirmed the "bad financial situation" through the casino Veneto, which caused the administrative intervention of the betting operator since last week.
The company has debts to suppliers and the Social Security Fund. Facing late payment of taxes to the Directorate General of Revenue and owes money to the Gaming Board because like all gambling operators must take a tax that depends on the size of stakes and prizes they pay for each month.
"To safeguard the jobs and the home operator, the decision to intervene was taken to the casino," Rios said. The State appointed Aracely Ploche as administrator of the company in the intervention process.
The objective is to determine the reality of the Veneto and evaluate alternatives to bring the company to its current situation.
If you can not resolve the financial situation, it could consider canceling the concession contract with the state and explore whether another company is interested in acquiring these operations.
The US group Silver Associate & Company acquired the concession of the casino and hotel complex has 302 rooms so paid $ 60 million.

I am staying next Thursday at the Veneto and then another night a week later. I will let everyone know if there are any changes for guests since the takeover. I have stayed there several times since 2010 and the conditions have continually deteriorated.
I am also renting an AirBnB for several days in Casco at the end of the month. I will let you know if I have any issues taking girls to this specific apartment. This is a private residence, as AirBnB does have room sharing. I plan on bringing girls out of Boca and taking them to the apartment.
I will be meeting up with Biff Dangler, a Panama resident / business owner and monger expert. Between my days in Panama City we are going to fly down to Barranquilla, Colombia and then bus to Cartagena. Should be a hell of a smashing-P-fest.
Me and Biff went to Medellin over last Thanksgiving. Ill try to break down the differences between mongering in PTY vs Medellin vs Barranquilla vs Cartagena later on.

Veneto
I was at Veneto in February and again this week. It's busier now than in February. Employees are happier because they are getting paid again. The chicas can come and go without paying $25 and wearing braclets. So all is well at the Veneto. In fact I'm on my way back over there right now to pick up a hot Cubana that I met yesterday. We argued about use of a condom for BJ yesterday and after a few texts today she dropped her price to $100 for an hour with condom. I hate condoms but that's too cheap to pass up. She just wouldn't give in on the issue so I'll see how it works for me.
